IGN - With the release of Back to Karkand for Battlefield 3 on PS3, Wake Island has now appeared in five Battlefield games, Gulf of Oman in three, Strike at Karkand in four, and Sharqi Peninsula in three. Thousands of gamers already fought, triumphed, and died on these maps, but their latest iterations are the best yet. They look great, crumble to pieces, and add an awesome layer of familiarity to the already stellar multiplayer side of Battlefield 3 -- and they're free if you bought the Limited Edition.
MP1st - Battlefield 3′s Gameplay Designers, Gustav Halling and Alan Kertz talk MAV exploits and the differences between BF2 versions of the Back to Karkand Maps and their BF3 counter-parts.
I don't care about the Mav exploit. If it stays or goes, it doesn't bother me. All the people using it too my knowledge were still able to be killed.
Im ready for a usas 12 frag nerf and taking repair tool out of helicopter cockpits
The MAV exploit was fun to use though. I hope they still allow the MAV to roadkill people though.
Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand is the first downloadable content for Battlefield 3. It is available to anyone who purchased Battlefield 3: Limited Edition at no extra charge.
Hooked Gamers writes: "In truth, the DLC, isn’t exactly bringing something - new - to the table. If you have played earlier versions of the Battlefield series, you may feel a slight sense of déjà vu. The DLC adds a number of multiplayer maps from Battlefield 2, but redesigned using the Frostbite 2 engine to make them shine like never before."
Good map-pack and well worth having for those of us who pre-ordered and got it for free.... but over-priced for those people who did not pre-order!
BC2 Vietnam was kind of worth it as it was like an addon... but this is a map-pack so costs too much. That said I prefer the maps to the ones that came with BF3.

Did it raise the number of players allowed in those big empty maps? No? I won't bother to download then, even for free.
