BF3 - Stunning Back To Karkand Jet Video Will Leave You Speechless

MP1st - YouTuber, irontjunfisk, has posted a video that showcase jaw dropping jet stunts on Back to Karkand maps, Wake Island and Gulf Island. This video was made for Battlefield 3: The Experience competition, where videos that are only possible on Battlefield 3 go toe to toe for a chance of winning a trip to Sweden.

BF3 is hailed for its physics, right? why is there no effect on the sea water when the jets are flying that low just over it? no water physic?

watching it back, not just water, but even plants have no effect of jet flying close by. nothing game breaking but kinda funny

Because jets never fly that low in BF3 unless they are about to hit the ground and explode. In which case you'd be distracted by the explosion more so than the lack of ''plant ripple''.

(BF3 player right here, but come on, if you really look at the game, there isn't much new there than in other games before... and the physics are sometimes laughable)

killzone 2/3 has the physics your talking about. look for a vid on kz2 smoke effects when drop ships go through it. amazing! bf3 is a blast too though!

Wow i have actually witnessed people completing these types of maneuvers in game!!!!!! this game is amazing. I really feel EA and Dice deserve title of creating the best FPS ever created on a console. As a PC BF2 vet i still marvel as to how they created BF3 to play so well on my PS3....

I haven't been this addicted since Counter strike and COD4, the best COD.

Meh, at least snipers in BF3 have to, you know, actually HIT their target to kill them. In MW3 you just have to kind of shoot in their general vicinity and it's an auto-kill. Plus the whole auto-aim/no-scope garbage. In BF3, you have to aim unassisted, account for bullet-drop, and land a perfect headshot.

So yeah, BF3 has campers, BUT it's much harder for them to rack up kills. The noobish factor is much lower. In fact, I get more angry at my OWN teammates who camp, because 9 times out of 10 they aren't sufficiently helping the team, unlike MW3 where campers can carry the team.

Let me put it another way:
In MW3, if I see a camping sniper, I just go elsewhere, because the game is designed such that if he's even average, he'll pretty much auto-kill whomever shows his face.
In BF3, if I see a camping sniper, I know that unless he is a true marksman, I can blow up his perch with a rocket or grenade, or run a scramble pattern to get closer to him, or lay down suppressive fire to blur his vision while a teammate moves in, etc. etc. etc. In other words, I will take him on because the game is balanced enough to allow it.

I still play MW3 because some of my friends insist on it and either won't try BF3 or didn't give it more than 10 minutes. And I gotta say, the more time goes by, the more pathetic MW3 is looking. If BF3 were akin to playing paintball in the woods, MW3 would be water balloons in the front yard.

I know it will never happen but I really wished DICE would have had some Veritech skins (locked in fighter mode of course) in the mix. It would be fitting for Battlefield 2143 if the expansion sees the light of day......

Would also be interesting for dice to add a navigator to some jets. One with extra flares and can look around to help spot other planes for the pilot.

ME3? You have it already. BF3 is more than what you saw. It is truly an experience. If you want MW3 type of play, you need to try Team Death Match on BF3.

If you want to see some REALLY COOL jet stunts, look at the BF2 jet stunts videos.

It's not that stunning.
The video editing/composition is very good though.

But... I do those stunts and better ones all the time in-game, you have to to break line of sight and ditch rockets (make 'em hit the side of the buildings or terrain) that lock on in good timing when you don't have flares. I've seen other people do it too, it isn't just me - most decent pilots fly like that constantly.

To fly well (helis and jets):
Get a big mouse mat
A high DPI mouse
Keep windows cursor sensitivity at 6/11
Install the CPL mouse fix (registry tweak to remove all accel)
Set your in-game sensitivity bars quite/very low
Make micro adjustments most of the time (it "queues" your input over the threshold pitch & roll from the mouse and keeps adding it on in later frames which can make you lose control)
Practice

If I were playing this on PC, I'd just map the flight controls to a stick. That's what I did in BF2, anyway. Make sure to get one where you can rotate the stick for rudder controls. Flight controls are one area where the mouse-keyboard thing falls apart.

Pretty cool, but I could easily do that too. It comes down more to having a good mouse, then being a good pilot. I am not even that good, but flying upside down, under things, and through them is easy if you can make your mouse sensitivity super high.

I've been doing this in previous battlefield games for YEARS. This is absolutely nothing new at all.
