IGN Reviews TimeShift

IGN writes:

"TimeShift is a nice example of what developers can do with a game if given the proper amount of time to build on a game and improve its foundation. What a year ago looked to be a budget shooter worth only a passing glance has been reworked into a title that plays well and, at times, can look fantastic. It's a first person shooter that comes out in the midst of one of the busiest release periods of all time for the genre and, when all is said and done, can't quite keep up with the leaders of the pack. What it can do, however, is carve out a nook of its own where those interested will find an enjoyable game that plays well and looks attractive, but suffers from some design issues".

Again, I highly recommend this game (I already finished it last week) to anyone that is an FPS fan since the game is a BLAST

And remember don't let first impression fool you to think this is another generic shooter cuz after the first episode EVERYTHING skyrockets :D

PS3Freak6010d ago

IF anyone else noticed this, ign just reworded there 360 review of the game for this one(those lazy bastards). At the end it says that call of duty 4 is " on the way" what does that tell you?

Maddens Raiders6010d ago

and re-views are officially off my radar. They have as much credibility to me as Cheney, Bush and Halliburton. Let me tell ya.....that's not much.

The PS3's review of TimeShift is a F*cking advertisement.

TimeShift - FPS Game Standing the Test of Time

TimeShift had a fairly muted launch in 2007, and while it doesn't rewrite the FPS rulebook it does offer an enjoyable campaign even now.

Astrokis10d ago

It's a good game need a new one.

Never heard of this game until someone mentioned it here last year. Played it and it basically represents most games from the PS3/Xbox360 era—good graphics, amazing physics, and extremely fun gameplay (time powers rock), but barely any story, weird pacing, and at least one annoying AF level. I finished Prototype last week and the same applies, except Strike Teams. Fuck Strike Teams.

This game actually works on a decent phone using Winlator 6.1, amazing times.

Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.

Lol

All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.

XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games

I played them all, they are all good in their own way
