SodaHead: We hope your Halloween was as hair-raising and horrifying as a night spent playing "Fatal Frame" with the lights off -- and we mean that in the best way possible. But "Fatal Frame" (our personal favorite) didn't manage to grab the top spot in our Scariest Video Game poll. That honor went to "Silent Hill," Konami's legendary psychotic survival horror.
Of course, it was impossible to list all of the scary games out there, so we had to limit our choices to just a few popular titles, and we did regretfully leave out one important pick from our list of options, but we'll get to that in a second. Even with the "Other" option, the clear winner in this poll was "Silent Hill."
Industry insider Dusk Golem reveals that there is no Resident Evil 1 Remake in the works. Instead, Capcom are reportedly in active development of Resident Evil Zero and Code Veronica.
RE Zero would be better to do first over RE1 because they can tie the story into RE1 more.
The original RE Remake was weird because Rebecca never mentioned anything about what happened in Zero and it felt so disjointed because Zero was developed during the Remake and they clearly didn't share any notes with one another.
Blooper Team will share game updates, a deeper look at the film and new merch.
This is make or break for the Silent Hill 2 remake, if it looks lacklustre then I think it's the final nail in the coffin for a lot of people. Nothing has been wow worthy since it's reveal.
Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 4 Remake, the Dead Space Remake etc, it has a lot to live up to with the quality remake titles we've gotten recently over the years.
How do composers make the iconic music tracks from games that we love? And just what makes them so memorable?
Twitter is blowing up right now
All games coming to PlayStation
Next Xbox will have steam
Next Xbox niche and only for “gamers who want it” (it’s a really powerful pc or a steam deck type portable, or both)
yea, but the recent ones are weak.
If more people had played Amnesia I am sure it would have easily won. Perhaps it wins just because people haven't played it due to being too scared...yeah that will do :P
I'm disappointed Fatal Frame didn't score higher. That's the only horror series that has truly scared me. That final chapter in Fatal Frame 1....holy shit!
Have they played Siren? Those are scary games.
I played Silent Hill Homecoming, then played Dead Space... played it 2 hours, went back to Homecoming. IDK, there's nothing like SH for me
