Halloween Killing Floor Event

Tripwire Interactive is at it again. As if working on and patching Red Orchestra 2 wasn’t enough, they somehow managed to have time to create an all new Halloween Killing Floor Event! The typical ZED’s have all been replaced with Halloween inspired ZED’s. Enjoy slaughtering Goblins, Witches, and Vampires as the “Sideshow” ZED return with a Halloween makeovers. Unlike the past Killing Floor Events, there is no new level that accompany the new ZED, which is sad, but there are 6 new achievements for the player to get to unlock an awesome new skin of “Commando Chicken”. Level specific achievements focus on the map Bedlam which is one of the more difficulty maps in my opinion. Bedlam has been decorated with pumpkins to get into the “spirit” and is already a creepy dark map. If you’ve put Killing Floor down now is a great time to pick it back up again. “Seasonal” ZED are always a blast, and are a nice change of pace from the typical game. Be sure to jump on and work towards that chicken suit as you only have Oct 27-Nov3 to get it before all the Halloween ZED will all be annihilated.

Blood-infused Killing Floor 3 promises loads, but shows very little | GAMESCOM PREVIEW (Sector.sk)

Enthusiastic developers told us about new Zeds, new mods, new engine, new everything, but showed us very little of the actual game. Our short Gamescom meeting gave us perspective on the upcoming title through many interesting, but very hesitant answers from the developers.

Graphically it looks quite nice. And I believe this is the first time they're using a new engine rather than a previous one.

Gunplay always felt really good with the KF games. My only complaint with this game and similar ones like L4D is that they become too predictable after a bit, so it gets quite boring. If the game doesn't have AI learning then at least give the enemies more methods of attacking players.

VS mode didn't work in KF2 because the game and enemies weren't designed for it from the start, that's what happens when it's tacked on and also takes place in an arena, it just becomes a camping game. Game mode wise I would prefer regular survival mode and one or two others, like a coop campaign and something else, but if they add VS it's gotta be done right from the beginning.
