WRC 2 is due out this month. According to French online retailer GAME, those who preorder on their website will get an exclusive offer for a special Safari rally DLC.

Cyber Front has released a new video for the racing game WRC 2 FIA World Rally Championship. The game is going to be released on February 16 2012 in Japan. WRC 2 FIA World Rally Championship from the 2011 season and gamers get to experience the realistic driving through such cars as the Subaru Impreza and Mini Countryman WRC.
2010’s World Rally Championship was a decent game that was severely hamstrung in terms of presentation and content. In a genre that has gone beyond point to point races into more exotic ideas such as gymkhana and full-on, multi-terrain races, this pure rallying experience was always going to have a tough time trying to appeal beyond the niche audience that would be keen for it.
So with the inevitable sequel now sitting on store shelves, can WRC2 move beyond it’s traditional constraints, or is this a case of Déjà two?
I prefer wrc 2 because it has better physics, feels like a rally game and not an extreme sports advertisement. dirt 3 got boring very quickly.
Kind of off topic, but I really hate the way in WRC 2010 that the finishing line of the stage ALWAYS has an indestructible scaffolding structure thing there that is barely wider than the width of your car.
Where on earth did they get that from???? No WRC stages have anything like that...
Also, I hate the co-driver.
... that immediately burries any chance I might have given this game.
Was kinda curious and interested in this game, hoping it would offer a proper rally-racing experience (long tracks, time-trials) which sadly the Dirt series has been lacking a bit with them going after the extreme-sports crowd, but if it will be an incomplete game I'd be buying, then thanks but no thanks.
I guess I'll just be playing DICE's Rallisport Challenge 2 some more. Which isn't a bad thing I might add. Oh, and that came with FREE DLC. I love that game.
