Gameplayer has gone hands-on with close to final builds of the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Turok, which is running on Unreal Engine 3. They compare the two versions of the game in this article.

The Turok series has been languishing without a new title for more than a decade. It's about time we got a reboot.
I'm all for it, I loved the originals... I just don't think, just like w the original Prey, that the main character can survive in this current political climate. Native characters seem untouchable at the moment. I think it can be shown the right respect, but there's always someone getting upset about something these days, they would find a way to cancel it.
I can't think of a game that's been cancelled because of the race of the main character.
Honestly, I would prefer if they just ported/remastered Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion to modern platforms. So we could have access to the "original 3 games". Because I don't see how to really reboot Turok. It's a product of its time being a mixture of platforming/fps and puzzle.
And I really don't see all those elements being preserved on a Reboot.
I would prefer Dino Crisis remake from Capcom. Still, a remade Turok would get my attention.

We unfortunately do not have enough quality dino games. Theres Horizon but they're robots, and Monster Hunter that I can only think of. I'd like to see Turok make a comeback some day.

Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.

That is until Kotaku and Gamespot and Gametrailers slap the ps3 version on a 2002 hdtv, using S-video cables and they crank the brightness and contrast up to warp speed.
lol. wow. kudos to turok team. I might check the title out. I dont really like shooters that much since they are basically all the same so its a long shot but if turok can do enough to set it apart frm the rest i'll give it a try. I first gotta get my hands on the demo. Heard you can get 1 if you preorder. Hopefully the release it on marketplace or psn sooner or later. Last i heard of this game they said they were done with the 360 version and they were basically jst focusing on the ps3 version. WOW. most devs would have jst released the 360 version and handed the ps3 version to some other dev(screw valve) and that would have been that. Good lookin out for the ps3. Would have gotten orange box for 360 but that gabe newells ps3 hatred changed my mind. I played only halflife 2 and it was pretty good. Would have loved to play the whole thing but oh well
