After the news that Insomniac Games’ Resistance franchise may be behind them after the 3rd game ships in a few weeks, the future of the Sony exclusive first person shooter is unknown. While Nihilistic Software will continue the series on the Vita with Resistance: Burning Skies who could keep the franchise alive on Sony’s home consoles?
Marvel's Spider-Man villain DLC potentially spotted via the debug menu that surfaced from the New Game+ title update released recently.
The PlayStation 3 may not have been the strongest generation for Sony, but there were still some diamonds in the rough that deserve a revisit as PS5 remasters.
Even if they could just remaster and put on PSVR2, some would still look great as VR titles and could do a whole lot to bolster the headset w these exclusives! I'd imagine the investment of reworking these titles into VR would be way less than building new games from the ground up, and they could be amazing experiences, and VR often makes flat games feel fresh again. The Resistance and Killzone games are particularly what I want to see!!
The time is perfect for a resistance fall of man game campaign coop multiplayer
Resistance was ok but Warhawk and Starhawk was better and kept me coming back for almost a decade of fun and petty revenge on the loud mouth unskilled players 🤣
Edit I loved capture the flag dropping the pot on the flag carrier was extremely satisfying as well as transforming your plane in bot form and stumping them to death 😱
Ahmed from eXputer writes "Video game leaks have become a major cause of concern for Triple-A studios, as they're becoming increasingly malicious and dangerous."
one of the biggest failures of Sony is trying to make a game into a big and important franchise.
At the end of the day, Resistance is a franchise few care about, and its influence is null in FPS market.
Multi is fun in R2 but both singleplayer one and two were awful couldnt bring myself to finish 2nd game and i cant even remember the guys name lol R2 was all about the multi mayhem the first game multi felt like a copy but R2 had some crazy action online ,coming from a 360 player it was fun but i guess they changed it again.
The Resistance franchise has been solid but nothing genre defining. The highlight for R2 was co-op which is sadly absent in R3.
Unless R3 single player rates highly then I wont be picking it up on its release. There are simply too many other good games coming out and my budget means I need to select wisely.
Im personally not very interested in this one. Ive moved my pre-order from this to Uncharted 3. I may rent it just for the SP, but otherwise it just doesnt grab me as anything other than another FPS.
I'd personally buy All 4 One over this, Insomniacs better, more ambitious franchise, in a dying market.
I don't think Guirella could do it because they would be too busy with Killzone. It will probably go to Sony Bend Studios because they have relevant experience with the brand. Maybe if Media Molecule is willing, having stepped away from LBP, they could do it? That would be interesting...
