I don't get the hate on Dark Souls. It seems like every time it is mentioned with Skyrim people instantly hate on it.

I don't see why some Skyrim fans would hate on Dark Souls. The game is NOTHING like Skyrim. It is an RPG, but that is the ONLY similarity it has with Skyrim.

Anyways I loved Demon's Souls and am getting Dark Souls on day one. I have never played an ES game before, however Skyrim looks amazing and am for sure picking it up this year.

Overall I'm not a huge RPG fan, but there are a few RPGs that I really enjoy.

Definitely. Dark Souls online sounds great. I'd love to see an RPG maker return for PSN or a similar title like Dark Cloud 3 to be made too.

dungeon siege and WKC 2 were absolute bombs. Bad reviews, bad sales, bad games. One from the east and one from the west

Ahhhh....Final Fantasu Versus XIII, a while ago they conformed that it won't be showing at TGS11, i don't know if i can take anymore waiting for this game, i'll just forget about it right now and when/if it comes out, i'll just go and buy it.

It would be great to see FFXIII Versus at TGS. They haven't said much on the game and it's been in the works for years.

Demon Souls is one of my fav RPG of all timesssssss I put in at least months and months worth of hours in this game and am still playing it till this day, so I'm def looking forward to Dark Souls!!!! If its half as good as Demon Souls I'm in!!!!!

OK I see a lot of wannabe rpg's in this list but the truth is that most of this games in the list is hybrids or shooters or MMO's or more action-than-rpg or hack n slash etc...

now can some1 make a list of JRPG only and if possible dont include sh1ty games like XIII-2 in.

For me the best games coming 2011-12 is:

Xenoblade
The Last Story
Tales of Xillia

& if.. Versus XIII but who can say for sure that this game will be ready for release at 2012? :/ I'm loosing hope seriously..

Final Fanstay Versus 13 will be amazing then the next best would be dark souls.

Skyrim and Dark Souls are the two most-important ones on my list. Both of them offer everything I want and love in a game, in their own special way.
