I prefer the arcade feel shooter (trying the Duke Nukem Forever demo last night, I remembered how good the gun feels in MW) and besides don't want to support an evil company like EA who:

- introduced online passes to the industry
- put in terms to remove all your purchased games after two years of inactivity on their online store
- if you get banned for from any of their site you loose access to your games (better not criticize EA!)
- supports always on DRM
- remember Spore?

Neither for me. I'm sick of all of this "Escape generic Modern Warfare games with this new, slightly different modern warfare game!" mentality. Battlefield 3 is still a generic mw title, RAGE is just an over-glorified Fallout 3 sequel with the open world replaced with 'open world' corridors, and games like Uncharted 3 are still just barely modified versions of their prequels.

The rest of the year, I'm catching up with classics. I don't want COD #657746, Halo: ODST #2, Uncharted the bestestiest thing ever 3, or Fallout 3 #2.

Wake me up when the straight-up shooter craze is over.

You can't just forget about the story behind the games. What got uncharted so much praise wasn't the multiplayer (although it probably is my favorite multiplayer experience) no, what got it so much praise is how much depth and how well naughty dog told their story.

Well this is a no brainer. MW3 all the way baby! Activition rules! 60 fps on 360 great dlc, largest online community, slick xbox live functionality, very fast paced action and not the sloth-like action of the BF series. They play differently, behave differently, even the controls are not the same. Please play both game and you'll see they are not similar.

Exactly what I'm doing. I'm burnt out on Call of Duty and I'm just now getting into Battlefield. I bought BFBC2 on PC a month ago for $8 so I've been enjoying the hell out of that game and can't wait for BF3!

Even though I'm burnt out on COD, I'm still excited for MW3...just not enough to purchase it over other games that I really want like Dark Souls, Batman: Arkham City, Uncharted 3, and Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

..cod needs alot of work on spawning i was in a blops game and i was on my PS3 owning but then 2 guys spawned right infront of me and shot me on sight i was 1 kill away from getting attack dogs you could even see on the kill cam that they just spawned and you could see me running to were they were spawning i wasn't even on there side of the map it was retarded just imagine a guy running down a hall and 5 feet infront of him 2 guys poped in front of him and shot him -__- i still like cod but it's the little things like that,that ruins it ..

Both games are extremely overrated and are actually feeding off each other to boost their sales. I have much more fun playing Socom 4 (which isn't even as good as past Socoms) than I do with any CoD and Bad company 2 combined, so I think that says it all. I'll be skipping both and going for Uncharted 3, Skyrim, Saints Row and SSX to keep me busy through the winter.

I know exactly what you mean. Bad Company 2 is my first battlefield game (so sue me) and I'm still playing it; there's just so many ways to play it that it doesn't really get boring, unlike CoD-style play (which is almost all about running and gunning). You get bored of being Assault in BC2? Play an engineer, get in a tank. Tired of Vehicles? Pick up a sniper-rifle and call in mortars. Great game :)

I know people are picking one and bashing the other. But if you're not getting both, it's probably for the best. If you're a BF3 guy and you get MW3, it'll probably just piss you off. And if you're a MW3 guy and try playing BF3, um, no, you're not going to like it I don't think. To be honest I'm glad the fans are split on it, because it'll keep the BF3 players playing that, and the MW3 people playing that one; I wouldn't want the MW3 player base suddenly in BF3.

MW3, won't be a day 1 buy for me and I have no intentions of placing a preorder for it, but I know several friends will be getting it, so I'll have a chance to scope out whatever new features there are before I decide if I need to get it right then or If I can wait until its $25 used at Gamestop. MW3 at this point only has me mildly interested. Eveything i've seen so far from trailers and articles looks like the same CoD we've been playing since CoD4 and over my time with Black Ops I've lost my interest in the MP a little bit, but more because of the CoD online community, not because of the franchise itself or the gameplay. I gotta say, Battlefield 3. Don't get me wrong I used to like Call of Duty, but once you're really good at it, it's not as fun. Especially when I play with friends it's so easy to kick ass and when I'm alone I'm also kicking ass.... Battlefield on the other hand is pretty intense and a game can go either way, which I why I love it. A challenge is all I ask for, and Call of Duty doesn't seem to deliver once you get good at it.
