getting all the getting all the mw's should have a good 50 when i die

Pixel_Pusher4660d ago

BF3! I'm done with Activision/COD.

Winter47th4660d ago

I'm getting both, you one-sided delusional bastards lol.

jaosobno4660d ago (Edited 4660d ago )

MW3.

I canceled BF3 preorder because I literally got sick of the game (without even playing it) by reading all of the comments submitted by rabid fanboys claiming BF3 is the best thing since sliced bread.

gamingdroid4660d ago (Edited 4660d ago )

MW3!

I prefer the arcade feel shooter (trying the Duke Nukem Forever demo last night, I remembered how good the gun feels in MW) and besides don't want to support an evil company like EA who:

- introduced online passes to the industry
- put in terms to remove all your purchased games after two years of inactivity on their online store
- if you get banned for from any of their site you loose access to your games (better not criticize EA!)
- supports always on DRM
- remember Spore?

Yeah, that sounds like a company I want to support! /S

limewax4660d ago

@jaosobno

If reading things on N4G really affects you that much, you would be better off just not reading it surely?

da_2pacalypse4660d ago

for all the cod fanboys, there is an open demo for mw3... it's called mw2.... BF3 FTW!

Genghis4660d ago

I dunno, i guess i'll just wait for the reviews to come out...

sphinct4660d ago

Neither. I'll begetting resistance 3.

SilentNegotiator4660d ago (Edited 4660d ago )

Neither for me. I'm sick of all of this "Escape generic Modern Warfare games with this new, slightly different modern warfare game!" mentality. Battlefield 3 is still a generic mw title, RAGE is just an over-glorified Fallout 3 sequel with the open world replaced with 'open world' corridors, and games like Uncharted 3 are still just barely modified versions of their prequels.

The rest of the year, I'm catching up with classics. I don't want COD #657746, Halo: ODST #2, Uncharted the bestestiest thing ever 3, or Fallout 3 #2.

Wake me up when the straight-up shooter craze is over.

"I'll begetting resistance 3"
LOL, you must REALLY like Resistance 3 if you're planning on raising him.

Getowned4660d ago

I'll be getting on PC :
~Red orchestra 2
-Battlefield 3
-Skyrim

on PS3 :
-Uncharted 3
-MW3
-Assassins Creed
-Batman:AC

perdie4660d ago

@SilentNegotiator I still dont understand how people can say the games are slightly different from their predecessors when they have all new stories. Seriously some people forget all about single player. Yeah Games have generally the same multiplayer but the game isnt just multiplayer

You can't just forget about the story behind the games. What got uncharted so much praise wasn't the multiplayer (although it probably is my favorite multiplayer experience) no, what got it so much praise is how much depth and how well naughty dog told their story.

4659d ago
Perjoss4659d ago

I'll get CoD as it will likely have nice single player, but I will get BF3 for multiplayer (and single player too).

Bonobo123454659d ago

It's not about hating on MW3, it's about belittling those who choose to play it.

At the core of it all, is my desire to give Activision a lesson in humility. They have been 'top dog' in the fps world for far to long and with very little effort.....
If we can make people feel as if they are making a mistake when buying MW3, we may just be able to swing the tide of the market....

WE MUST UNITE BROTHERS!

Brosy4659d ago

BF3 for me. I'm still sick of COD, been sick of it since MW1.

Fire17924659d ago

@jaosobno

You're kidding me right? There are so many more people praising the Call of Duty franchise year after year, and now you can't let the people who are actually excited for Battlefield 3 have a little bit of that right? Jesus you're sad...

+ Show (13) more repliesLast reply 4659d ago
iamnsuperman4660d ago (Edited 4660d ago )

I am the same. MW3 looks fun but I am just not that excited for it (could be the way the story line got mind blowingly stupid). BF3 story looks too slow for an arcade shooter. They both may have got good multiplayer but with the connect I have at my student flat its not worth it

Emilio_Estevez4660d ago

BF is not an arcade shooter. Have you ever played a BF game?

starcb264660d ago (Edited 4660d ago )

I'm getting both. MW3 for when my friends come over, and BF3 for when i'm alone and I want some destructive fun!

Who could disagree with this? -____-

Sticky__Rice4660d ago (Edited 4660d ago )

An idiot.. I agree though; you cant go wrong with getting both. And for good reasons too. Both games look great; everyone needs to chill out on the MW3 hate. -_-

SkylineR4660d ago

Both.

I play games, not sides. There's no rule saying you can only pick 1. It's like owning consoles; you have more fun if you have them all.

I'm slightly more excited for BF3 because it's a true sequel to BF2, and not this Bad Company crap spin offs.

JsonHenry4660d ago

I'll get both. MW3 on the 360 because all my friends/family play that game series on the 360. BF3 on my PC because, well, I built a gaming rig to be able to play games like BF3 for a reason.

Crazyglues4660d ago (Edited 4660d ago )

BF3!.. ftw and maybe MW3 :) i need to see some reviews saying the single player is really good.. otherwise No

.____........___...____
.____||......||.......____||
||.........___||.......____||

chriski3334660d ago

I shall get both but im more hyped for battlefield 3 cause I like COD but it just looks like modern warfare 2 wish they could bring something new to the table

paintsville4660d ago

Well this is a no brainer. MW3 all the way baby! Activition rules! 60 fps on 360 great dlc, largest online community, slick xbox live functionality, very fast paced action and not the sloth-like action of the BF series. But I can see why ps3 owners woule be excited about BF3. As for the rest of us MW3 baby!! Activision rules this genre. Period, Fact!

TheDareDevil4660d ago

@limewax
I'm pretty sure he's joking, cause it would be a stupid thing to do. But I do agree that BF3 is being hyped to no end(on n4g) and I'm just going to ignore the MW3 hate articles.

Fez4660d ago (Edited 4660d ago )

I agree, neither. Both too similar to each other and every other FPS game released this gen. Plus BF3 main hype point (the graphics) will be heavily watered down on my ps3 making it look like most other PS3 games.

MrSent4660d ago

They are similar in the fact that they are First Person Shooters. If you paid some attention you would know the differences far outweigh their similarities. Watered down? Or Stretched to the console's limitations?

Fez4660d ago (Edited 4660d ago )

Both. Watered down in comparison to the PC teasers they showed us because the console is being stretched to its limitations.

The differences are too small for me to be interested in either. Main problem is I feel like I've already played them both. Modern FPS games are quickly becoming this gens 'WW2 games'...

saladthieves4660d ago

I have to agree with MrSent

People keep on making this mistake. The only similarity that Battlefield and Call of Duty games share is that they are FPSs. IT ENDS THERE. Anything else, they are drastically different.

They play differently, behave differently, even the controls are not the same. Please play both game and you'll see they are not similar.

BlindGuardian4660d ago

both

will be playing Battlefield first

BattleTorn4660d ago

it does release 2weeks prior to MW3... heheh

BOTH FOR THE WIN!

Knushwood Butt4660d ago

Uncharted 3 before either of these.

peowpeow4660d ago

BF3 definitely, and maybe MW3 :)

Omega Archetype4660d ago (Edited 4660d ago )

Exactly what I'm doing. I'm burnt out on Call of Duty and I'm just now getting into Battlefield. I bought BFBC2 on PC a month ago for $8 so I've been enjoying the hell out of that game and can't wait for BF3!

Even though I'm burnt out on COD, I'm still excited for MW3...just not enough to purchase it over other games that I really want like Dark Souls, Batman: Arkham City, Uncharted 3, and Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

Godchild10204660d ago

Both! Now shut the fuck up and go back where you came. I just don't understand why it matters. Both games will give you two different experiences. I rather blow up buildings in one and well, what is there to do in COD?

I will still be picking up both this holiday season.

Average_Joe4660d ago (Edited 4660d ago )

Another one of these articles...... I'm sure people will buy whichever game suits them. They both play completely differently so obviously some people might even buy both. I'm beginning to think N4G just prefers controversy and arguments. The number of MW3 vs BF3 articles is quickly outnumbering the Xbox 360 vs PS3 ones.

This place is starting to be harder and harder to find actual gaming news.

Activision and has really impressed me with their professionalism while the ignorant fanboys, who are the EXTEME minority constantly try and hurt the company for nothing more than being successful.

Thankfully, the peoples champ will rise up another year to smash the haters and gaming media that are trying so hard to bring down COD. Look what happen to MOH and Uncharted the year before that...10x the sales as fanboys voted with their wallets and made COD one of the biggest FPS of all time...well done Activision.

Pixel_Pusher4660d ago

"while the ignorant fanboys"

haha

UC2 sold 5mill that's pretty damn good for an exclusive.

MrSent4660d ago (Edited 4660d ago )

Inside_out, we already know your bias. Go leg hump Activision. Bring some C4 with you and pretend you're a dog with C4. Look up the word "preposterous" Cool story bro. I hope you never buy BF3, I don't think you deserve the experience it will bring. If you do buy BF3, and it's on PC, make sure you let everyone know, so we can bitch-slap your bunnyhoping nade spamming ass with an Abrams.

You're a sheep. Go Flock off.

Call of Duty Players Disappointed by $80 B.E.A.S.T. Glove Bundle Deal

Recently, players of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone were met with a new bundle featuring the B.E.A.S.T. Glove, inspired by King Kong's armament in the Godzilla x Kong movie. However, the $80 price tag attached to this themed accessory left many Call of Duty fans feeling underwhelmed.

Morons that allow themselves to be milked continuously by this company is the definition of irony.
Spend more $$ and you'll end up In easier lobbies so you win both ways when ya spend that cash

melons33d ago

Controversy in the COD community feels like it happens within an alternate timeline. Activision will take the piss with something, there will be a momentary fuss about it, and then they will forget about it and carry on anyway. Repeat this cycle literally every year for the rest of time.

Gridknac33d ago

They call that a crack head! Thats what this is really about, its an addiction. People who dont smoke cigarettes look and laugh at the addicts that spend $8-$10 a pack, but they cant help themselves, they are addicted. That same analogy applies perfectly to the whole MT industry. Only an addict that was not thinking clearly would spend this kind of money on something so frivolous. A round of multiplayer provides the same high a person gets from scratching a lotto ticket, or putting money on a sports bet. MT in general need to really be regulated because you have a generation of kids becoming adults who grew up only knowing the MT era of gaming. Its normal to them and they will in turn teach their kids the same by just being a gaming parent and getting their kids involved with them in gaming. Thats why no matter how ridiculous the headlines keep getting out of the MT industry, it never seems to fade or go away.

X-2332d ago

I'm so tired of hearing about what they're doing with this game, its never going to change and it's never going to value the consumer over money, furthermore the people who engage so heavily in the microtransactions I guess allegedly are having a blast and can't wait to do it some more this year when the new version of the game drops.

Certain to have some sort of reference to their online store for CBD/THC chews, which is advertising heavily online the last month or two.

Sciurus_vulgaris48d ago

The randomness of the multiplayer characters is one of reason I quit playing COD after briefly returning in 2022. We got Space Marines, rappers, tree monsters etc. all in a series called “ Modern Warfare”.

OtterX47d ago (Edited 47d ago )

I think if there was ever a time for a competitor to rise up and take away some of Call of Duty's thunder, the time would be now. A military shooter that takes itself seriously, not sold out to Fortnitism. Easier said than done, I know... but the time is ripe.

I can't stand this stuff either.

Palitera47d ago

There are tons of MP shooters that make no profit, if you're looking for one of those

fsfsxii47d ago

You guys have been saying this shit since 2009. Fortunately, nobody’s bringing down cod anytime soon, if ever.

crazyCoconuts47d ago

I agree. I really didn't like how the silliness takes away the gritty origins. That and all the crazy effects... dunno. I'm still playing it but I'd love for someone to steal their cheese and cater to grittier players

OtterX47d ago

@fsfsxii It's not so much wanting COD itself to die as it is wanting this silliness to die. Like CrazyCoconuts said, it takes from the grittiness. Many OG COD players want a straightup Military shooter experience, not silly costume time at Carnival.

is this what the kids want these days a pair of iconic stoners who were big in the 70s and have kind of held on I enjoyed their movies decades ago but I never recall the movie where cheech infiltrates a enemy base while chong snipes for support guess I must of missed that one

Man I'm getting to old for this

Knightofelemia47d ago (Edited 47d ago )

Cheech just looks so wrong in the picture.

Profchaos47d ago

They charge too much for a game that is kitsch.
