that doesn't seem like in-game graphics, it appears they did a cg just like they did with the bioshock trailer, the graphics were better than the ones we saw in the game. But nevertheless the game seems to be pretty awesome.

I'm not sure... everything I've heard so far is that all cut-scenes are rendered using the game engine. Maybe they just use uber textures for the cut-scenes though. I'm curious about this. Still looks great, can't wait...

Definitely a first day purchase for me as well. You are all so quick to forget KoTOR. Can't wait to see what jaw dropping plot twists there will be to U N F O L D. And a fresh perpetuating storyline that extends across several games opens up a lot of great possibilites. I'm excited for this one. An original sci-fi IP hasn't had it this good for a long time!

Comparing a brand new IP to FFXXX or whatever it is now is useless, I don't want to have to dig out a PS1 game just to catch up with the story line.

You'd have to have wasted a looooooot of time to really be very well invested into the FF universe.

Love the sci-fi feel as well, along with the moral decisions and what looks to be fabulous exploration possibilites. Eerie.

I don't believe there is a witchhunt against Sony or something. I just hate it when reviewers give low scores to the games that deserve much higher scores. I hate GameSpot because they gave low scores to Ratchet PS3, BioShock, Zelda Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3 and COD4.

I confess that I do get childish some times but deep inside I love PS3, 360, PC, PSP, DS, PS2 and... Sorry can't say Wii.
My biggest weakness is against Wii. I believe a true gamer should play and love all consoles and while I try to do the first part (Playing), I can't get myself to love Wii. I love Metroid Prime 3, Zack & Wiki, Rabbids and Mario Galaxy but still think Wii is a piece of... See, I lost control again.

Still, everyone should play and defend games, not consoles (And it is my love for Ratchet, BioShock, Zelda and others that has made me hate GameSpot).

The rumors are pretty unfounded, as the 360 is running stronger than ever...

Mass Effect is going to be a trilogy, and Fable 2 is a good example of another exclusive, along with Halo Wars, and whatever secret Halo project is being worked on right now. I'd do a little more research to see what in the future interests you, but as for me I've been very happy with Gears, Bioshock, Halo 3, Forza 2, PGR4, and quite a few other exclusives thus far, so there's nothing to suggest that's going to change. Developers see those games sucess and want to develop exclusives further on down the road.

It's a good time to own a 360.

this year the 360's line up is full of epic adventures, not as in genre wise, but as in very epic stories; halo, mass effect bioshock. putting them all together, you've got a lot of hours of fun there.

of what i hear about halo's sp, i'm afraid it could be dissapointingly short and still not as epic as number 1's, but hey there's multiplayer, that's supposed to be really good. Gears of war apparently is pretty short, again if that isn't a concern go ahead.

Bro I have both systems and their both so awesome, if you have the money don't short change yourself!! Bioshock, Halo3, PGR4, Forza 4, Gears Of War and the plethora of good older games that can be had for $20-30 is awesome! The 360 is TOTALLYYYYY worth it. Don't listen to the RROD problems, I have had my own with my launch console, but not since...I just spent the last 3 hours playing the SP of Gears Of War and it's still unbelievably fun to play, I guess what I am trying to say is if you have the money your only cheating yourself, the 360 has some of the best videogames I have ever played in my life.

1) The characters looked good to me. You could really see the sadness and anguish on Sheppard's face when he was listening to the distress call.
2) Environment look amazing and very detailed
3) Gameplay is a squad-based RPG with action and shooter elements. Not to mention how deep the storyline is, and all the different choices/paths you can take. How is that not new?
4) See #1. You could really see the sadness and anguish on Sheppard.
5) Want a screenshot to compare? ME looks significantly better than KotOR and even GeoW.

I really hope you're kidding with your comment, because you're seriously mis-informed or not thinking clearly. This game is just as detailed, if not more than GeoW. The gameplay and environments look amazing. The character customization and freedom rivals that of Oblvion.

This game had potential 2 years ago, and still has potential. It's an RPG with shooter elements by the way. Why don't you delve into the story more, and perhaps you'll get a better appreciation for it.

theres no facial expressions during combat.....meaning, youre getting shot at or seriously hurt....and he still has the same dumass expression u have right now reading this.... so 3 years in the making and they couldnt add that 1 feature? + washed out colors and boring landscapes? come on this is space, not MR RODGERS NEIGHBORHOOD. Even the freaking dialogue is boring and poorly acted.
