Do a lot of people still play Warhawk? I was thinking about getting it again, but wasn't sure because of the Starhawk announcement!

Unless you're really determined to master the game, I wouldn't buy it at this point because it's pretty much only hardcore players left, who will own you and only end up pissing you off.

It's a fun as hell game, but the people who mastered the warhawks hover mode kind of ruin it for every one else on the ground.

MOH shouldn't really be there i was highly disappointed spending $60 on it but it's worth it for the BF3 beta though =)....MAG was pretty fun also =)

I would recommend Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising be on the list. Better underrated FPS then most of the games on that list.

Yea, OpF:Dragon Rising was a great game.. a good dose more challenging and tactical than the average military FPS, but sometimes a bit too hard. I'm waiting to check out OpF:Red River sometime soon too..

I have played the game through a few times and have found only a few issues with AI. A few times of getting stuck in path finding or having issues with first aid.

But once you get that action wheel down you can quickly take control of your team. It does take some micro management... but nothing different then having to micromanage my real troops when I was in the military. ha

It is the closest game to the original Tom Clancy Rainbow Six with being able to set way points for movement. Just outside environment. And wishing I could set all the way points and then cue them like in Rainbow Six. "Go Alpha" "Go Bravo"!

I haven't heard too many good things about Red River... friends have told me it is too linear compared to Dragon Rising.

Red Orchestra - £6.99 from steam, but you also get the brilliant exspansion mod Darkest Hour for free too! It's online only but a throughly brilliant game if you like your realism kicked up a notch.

DH is constantly updated, the latest version 5.0 was released in may this year with new weapons, vehicles and maps :)

another under-rated or not well known FPS out there that you can grab for CHEAP ($10 used at Gamestop) is Condemned 2: Bloodshot.. i guess it's more of a First Person hack, slash, and bludgeon, but there are plenty of guns too.. Just that the focus is on hand-to-hand and melee combat. If you like the immersion of a first person game, and you like psychological thriller/survival horror genre, this game is a must play for you!

In regards to this article, the only thing i disagree with is the notion that Homefront was "under-rated." IMO, it was executed and developed poorly, and was rated appropriately as an under par game for current gen consoles, regarding both the campaign and multiplayer. At least the other games on that list scored well (in general).. though I think MoH got slammed by critics too, but I thought it was better than Homefront

I'm glad Singularity is on there, since it truly is a great game that just had terrible marketing.

Even though they aren't FPS games, I think Enslaved and The Saboteur deserve some recognition. Enslaved plays like a really good adventure game for the PS2 or Gamecube, just with higher production values. The Saboteur is a sandbox game that takes place in Nazi occupied Paris. For 8 bucks, you can't go wrong.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R series deserves a HUGE mention. Games are SICK!

Far Cry 2 is a great game, people should give it a try. Be patient with the game, have an open mind and you will find that it is a great Single Player Experience(Multiplayer not so much).And check out Far Cry 3 people and tell me it doesn't look amazing.

I got Aliens v Predator (used, for PS3) for only £6 the other day, which I thought was a good deal. Only played around 10 minutes so far of the marine part, but it seems good.
Homefront was £18 used also. Will probably try that out when it drops more in price.
MoH I already have, and I thought that was good.
I have MAG also, but haven't played it for a while now.
I haven't got Singularity, but am looking for a cheap used copy to buy. I have seen some gameplay video's and it looks quite good. Haven't seen any used copies around though.
All those games listed seem like a good choice for people who like FPS games.

Medal of Honor: Airborne and Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway are a couple of awesome overlooked shooters, especially Airborne.
