Although I enjoyed the visuals of the first game, i seriously can not wait to see this new visual style in action!

totallysane4770d ago

even though i didn't even beat the first game i loved it, and am really excited to see what they come up with in #2

Jack-H4770d ago

Same here with me. I know it has so much potential... I rented it(you know way back when you went to a video rental store and rented them) and i never beat it... This this could really turn some heads imo.

what the hellll am i getting disagrees for. people disagreeing with my liking a game or not finishing one? haters

damnyouretall4770d ago

Lol......and it looks worst visually than the 1st. Has a more "Cell Shaded/Cartoony look" to the graphics in my opinion. I don't care for this cheap graphical trick, its chessy, and LAZY in my opinion. I don't like the fact that this sequel is not being developed by Starbreeze, who made The Darkness 1. Its not going to be as good, if at all, because of this, I'll pass, NO Soup For You!! P.S- Since the Publisher doesn't own the rights to the developer, Starbreeze's "In House Graphic Tech", they've gone a "cheaper route" with a different developer, and different graphic engine. A switch at the helm by changing developers to now develop on existing franchise's is most of the time a bad move. Why? its usually not an "Equal Parts Trade" by the Publisher, its like Losing a Peyton Manning, and bringing in Ryan Leaf to run the Franchise. Get it?...When Publishers opt for the cheap route like this, You Get!!...What u Pay For.

The downside is that the team responsible for the 1st were behind such greats as Chronicles Of Riddick (Xbox1) & The Darkness......yet, the sequel is being developed by the dudes who did Dark Sector.....Now while I finished Dark Sector & thought it was a great little title.....it was no The Darkness or Riddick, as far as story & gameplay/controls goes.

Hopefully the developers can make that transition from a 7-8 scoring game to a 8.5-9.5 scoring steller title, as even an 8.5 would be a great score for a fps game in the current climate.

Xbox One gets three more Backwards Compatible titles – Are they worth the return?

Carlos writes: "Although they may have allowed a break for the Christmas period, it seems the team in charge of bringing Xbox 360 titles to the Xbox One via Xbox Backwards Compatibility are now in full swing, with countless new titles being added since the turn of the year. Now we are seeing even more additions being made."

I suppose like any game, if you are a fan, or if you've never played the game before, then it's worth it. The Darkness 2 is worth a replay for sure, but I'd really like the original game to be added to the list. The Darkness was one of my favorite experiences last gen.

Chevalier2315d ago

Spec Ops was a pretty good game. May scoop that up cheap and play it again

XbladeTeddy2315d ago

Loved Spec Ops. Completed that 3 times. Had a brilliant narrative.

MadLad2314d ago

Re-install it on Steam for a quick run-through every year or so.

Still waiting for MGS HD Collection

Deep-throat2315d ago

Wait for something greater bro! MGS 1-4 remaster!

PUBG2315d ago

I would love to see MGS4 remastered. That game was another one of my top games from last gen.

TheColbertinator2315d ago

Yeah thats fine too. I just want Peace Walker on the X and/or Steam.

GamesMaster19822315d ago (Edited 2315d ago )

Sorry bro but no console ever will ever get to experience MGS4 apart for PS3. Yeah it’s a shame. All to do with how hard it was to make for the PS3 console, and is impossible to replicate apart from say remaking it from scratch

iNcRiMiNaTi2315d ago

That and Zoe HD collection would be cool too

Pantz2315d ago

YESS always wanted to get around to playing Darkness 2 and Spec Ops. Thanks Xbox!

Darkwatchman2315d ago

I hope Spec-Ops: The Line gets the 4K enhancement like some of the backwards compatible titles have. I love that game.

Profchaos2315d ago

I'd love to see midnight club LA and max Payne 3 get the BC treatment

Hmmmm...

Wolfenstein looks tempting. I own the rest.

Jaqen_Hghar3518d ago

A man is quite assured Shadow of Mordor will be at most $30 on Black Friday after seeing that :)

Hopefully a man can get that and Sleeping Dogs Definitive for sub $30 and then TWD Season 1 and 2 and Wolf Among Us disc versions for sub $20 on Black Friday.
