I don't know how to stress further that you should have credited Game Informer on this, so I'm going to say that you should be the supporting article here and they are the original source...

Wrong source
This is a Game Informer Exclusive. They are the original source.

Lame
This is not a dupe, I just checked the Gameinformer piece, and it doesn't even have the press release. It's not lame, I just needed to choose another channel make my point.

That's not a dupe. What you show is a gameinformer magazine impending reveal.

Wooooooooooooooooooo!

Looking forward to it.

iamnsuperman4758d ago (Edited 4758d ago )

I am too but I was looking more forward to AC3 not AC2.75. Lets hope there is more innovation, unlike there was in AC2 to ACB (in my eyes AC2.5), like there was between AC1 and AC2. The only reason I am getting this is the story but I do hope they upgrade the graphics and gameplay because the graphics look dated and the gameplay is not perfect yet. These are the things that are letting the game down. The story is thrilling and interesting but lets hope they do produce a better game overall because the story can only carry so far

ExitToExisT4759d ago (Edited 4759d ago )

WOW.. Ezio again!? He was like 50 in brotherhood.
Also since the year 1453 the city is called Istanbul not Konstantinople. And Ezio lived in the 16th-17th century as far as i remember.

omi25p4759d ago

he was in his 30's at most....

solidboss4759d ago

actually by the end of brotherhood ezio is 48 years old

LarVanian4759d ago (Edited 4759d ago )

EDIT- yeah roughly what solidboss said

NukaCola4758d ago

I am cool with Ezio having another tale, but I would like an AC3, and rather get more of Desmond's story revealed than this. I loved AC2, and skipped ACB just do to not having enough money, so I think I will have to catch up.

solidboss4759d ago

close enough lol. i like that he is older in this one but i hope the gameplay is changed between altair and ezio. i mean he cant just jump around the same way he used to he is going on his 50's

Rettom4759d ago

Unless you're Sam Fisher.

BushLitter4759d ago

Assassin 2's events led up to the turn of the 16th century, and continues well into it during Brotherhood.

No problem there. Besides I doubt very much Ubisoft would make a mistake like that :)

UltraNova4759d ago

No the real name of that great city is Constantinople, not Istanbul, the name the Turkish invaders branded it with to cover its real Byzantine origins.

Get your facts straight.

goku323594759d ago

Bubbles to u man. Finally someone who knows a little history

durran34759d ago (Edited 4759d ago )

Based on your stupid theory the great cities of New York and Toronto shouldn't be called New York and Toronto since this land was branded by European invaders to cover the real Native Indian lands.

See what I did there? ... Get over it, geographies and cultures change all the time, so better call it what it is called today then delve over what it was called in the past. It's like denying that Israel doesn't exist when its there and it does..

WAR_MACHINE774759d ago

@durran3 well old New York was once New Amsterdam... why they changed it I can't say... I guess people liked it better that way. lol

Karlnag34758d ago (Edited 4758d ago )

Does the animus not translate everything into modern day English? Except the swear words, of course. They're still in italian. Point is, if it's gonna translate spoken word it'll probably translate the names of places into what they are known as in present day.

Johandevries4758d ago

@War Machine:
The English were superior during a war, but we managed to confiscate land on South America, which is now Surinam, and peace was signed by a trade-off that made the Dutch leave New Amsterdam and of course the English could not make this name live on.

WAR_MACHINE774758d ago

@Johandevries Yeah... I know the history. It was meant to be a joke as what I wrote is from a popular song by They Might Be Giants or before them The Four Lads.

Ascalon944759d ago

Even though that is the officical name, everyone i know still refers to it as Constantinople because that is what it should still be called.

When will you decommission this new one? I’m only asking so I can be happier by not buying it at full price.

bunt-custardly621d ago

The dog Chorizo from FAR CRY 6 has wheelchair legs, so is hardly a decommissioned pet. In fact very useful for digging up dirt.

Historic Eras that Video Games Need to Explore

Xfire writes "Worldbuilding is a crucial part of any story. It's not an easy task to create a believable setting with its own set of rules, customs, traditions and political affiliations and then weave a story into the said setting. Luckily, storytellers and video game writers don't always need to create complex settings when we've got history books as thick as Big Chungus.

Historical eras make a fabulous setting for video games. They've already got the world-building nailed, complete with their own set of rules, customs, traditions and political affiliations. Honestly, I don't think I need to justify the fact that historical eras make an amazing setting for video games. If you don't believe me, just go ahead and play the Ghost of Tsushima or any of the Assassin's Creed games."

The first crusade would be pretty sweet. I’d probably enjoy any of those on your list if they were done respectfully. Like not some dork in Portland making a Russian Revolution game.

Benin Empire, Far East, Central America. Games are pretty biased toward Europe, North America, and the Middle East. There is a very big world out there.

You know a game comes out too often when we’re getting BYOB (Build-your-own-bundle) deals! And this cheap? Good deal for parkour lovers! Haha!!

GoodGuy091394d ago

What Ill be doing for valhalla, wait for a sale. Ac and far cry games go really cheap pretty quick. Picked up fc5 for $5 and Odyssey for $10.

EastOfTheAnduin1393d ago

I always wait for Black Friday for Assassin's Creed.

Baza1394d ago

Sounds like a PC gamer deal.. *clicks on link* yup

Inverno1394d ago

Or just wait til Ubisoft gives em out for free lol. they've practically given out all the AC games for free, as well as both Watch Dog games, and Rayman. Ubisoft is weird
