Was this an Xbox360 exclusive?

Neko_Mega4750d ago

Most likely was, Microsoft is spending more money on Kinect then keeping games on their system.

Funny thing is, I was about to get this for 360. Guess I can get it for PS3/Steam.

"The PlayStation Network version, which launches shortly after the Steam version, supports the Move controller, and will be similarly priced."

Move support, sweet.

...but the dev took so long to make the game, they didn't have the balls to launch it on all platforms at once.

I'm sick of devs using the 360 gamers as their guinea pigs, then re-releasing games on other platforms with better and/or more features FOR FREE. It all started way back with Alone in the Dark (which still sucked, even when it came to PS3), and has continued on with the recent ME2 release by BioWare. It's bullsh*t that the say it's on MS, whether or not this comes to 360. F*** you...I already bought it, when it was SUPPOSED to be an episodic game. You owe me what's in the PS3/PC versions FOR FREE.

Well i'm sick and tired of Devs releasing crappy ports for Ps3 games. this problem has plagued the ps3 ever since release. At least now the issue is receding, and actually ps3 games are better than the 360 counterparts, but still, this issue should be non-existent after 4.5 years of the ps3 being on the market

It was, but it was an exclusive that got mostly poor reviews. It's sounds like they have fixed/changed quite a lot, maybe it's now the game it should have been in the first place.

Does PS3 version include Steam?

Good comments to go with the article. The developer is answering lots of questions.

Steam Backlog: Hydrophobia: Prophecy

Adam Kerr of GameGrin finally gets around to his Steam backlog given the current situation, this time landing on Hydrophobia: Prophecy.

He writes: "There are plenty of games I’ve purchased almost a decade ago, with less than an hour of playtime. Abandoned so I could go back to trusted classics like Skyrim or Counter-Strike. Games that I never really gave a fair chance. Maybe there’s some hidden gems in there? Maybe there’s some hilariously bad stuff in there? All I know is, a combination of lockdown boredom and me needing some new content to appease the dark overlords at GameGrin have led us here. To my Steam backlog. To Hydrophobia: Prophecy, in fact."

I personally enjoyed this game. The shooting mechanism wasn't particularly good, and the final boss was quite glitchy, with a serious drop in framerate, but it was an interesting few hours of gameplay.

Proven Gamer: Hydrophobia Prophecy Review

Hydrophobia Prophecy is what developer Dark Energy Digital likes to call a “Comprehensive Reinvention” of their initial release of the game “Hydrophobia” (or Hydrophobia Pure after the patch that was released to correct some issues) on the Xbox 360 on September 29th, 2010. Although it was met with some mixed reactions from critics, it still managed to gain a fan following. We first caught wind of this “reinvention” of Hydrophobia back in April of this year.
