Same here... Back when it was competing with Doom 2, Duke was the mutt's nuts. Now, as a modern game? Not so sure.

it is probalby going to be garbage. Duke was fun in the 90's. the FNP genre has evolved dramatically, and I do not think there is a large enough market for the game anymore.

Well, if they make the game fun - isn't that all that matters?

FPSs these days have boring, repetitive or cliched single player campaigns (not just FPSs infact). There is so much room for so much more.

A game like this should be constantly over the top all the way through if they wan't it to be truely entertaining. Duke Nukem is a perfect character for that kind of over the top insanity, the game won't be tied into being serious or realistic - they can pack it full of jokes, carnage, destruction... everything. That is what I'm hoping it will be like. Did anyone play Vanquish?

shelby knox trying to get walmart to block this game b/c of "violence against women" apparently slapping a woman on the butt is violent. Well it ain't making the release of the game any better, plus her(shelby) petition done got over 7K of signatures. Its on change.org just search "Duke Nukem" if you want to troll the page or if you want to sign it(don't plz)

I wouldn't be surprised if the petition got so many signatures because Shelby exaggerated the facts about the game. Heck, I've heard people criticizing the game because they think Duke is a woman-basher and that the game revolves around him beating up women. :/

You've gotta worry about the women who have issues with a bit of ass slapping, but are ok with games that revolve around killing hundreds of people - both men and women.
