THQ will be releasing the Rio video game, based on the Twentieth Century Fox animated motion picture, on April 12th. Priced at $29.99, the game will be available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, and DS.

Birds of a feather party together
Rio from the makers of Ice Age is a movie tie-in party game from the same name which includes over forty mini-games using six playable characters, Blu, Jewel, Pedro, Nico, Raphael, and Eva in a brightly coloured action packed Carnival theme. Although also on PlayStation 3 and Wii, the Xbox 360 version has three additional exclusive mini-games.
Given the game’s reliance on competition, it’s a great shame that Rio doesn’t include any online gameplay. Though it offers drop-in gameplay for up to four players on a single system, the only use of the PlayStation Network Rio makes is that of the now essential Trophies.
