Hopefully they let you use your DualShock on them through the blue tooth for gaming.

hiredhelp4802d ago

hmm wonder if NGP also be getting this wouldnt supprise me.

BeastlyRig4802d ago (Edited 4802d ago )

This will be interesting!! Not buying it but Interesting still..

Especially if it turn out to be $600 or so I would add $200 & play Bf3 on PC!

I want to know the price!

a ps3 tablet that can be hook to a tv would be better.

$300 - 400 would be acceptable..

not trolling people just using my common sense.

Ju4802d ago (Edited 4802d ago )

What are you smoking. It'll be a Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) tablet. Hopefully dual core (or more - why not use NGPs Quad) and PS certified. $499 would be nice, 10" (don't give me that 7" crap, please). I am all in (less than 2 cores...nope, not with me. Next). No BF3 on that thing and no PS3 games. But everything which runs on (e.g.) XPeria Play (and some NGP/PSSuite) games.

Only thing this time, I won't buy early. I want them to iron out PSN on those devices, and the games, PSSuite, I want to see how that works with the NGP (and its games), etc.

Knowing Sony, they'll release a half baken solution - and will update ASAP. I think they are taking on too much at the same time. Phone, tablet, console and portable...until this is streamlined, it'll take a while.

BeastlyRig4802d ago

Thanx at least now I know it won't be worth it!

$500 is to close to playing BF3 dx11 price to care..

Ju4802d ago

I guess you are in the wrong thread. Totally irrelevant.

Stealth20k4802d ago (Edited 4802d ago )

eh its really a waste of time since anything on these devices will be on the ngp

@ below?

why would it those devices arent compatible with psn. Only ps suite.

Which is why you have to rebuy ps1 classics. Its a seperate system

cliffbo4802d ago

not entirely. think of the uptake of PSN. i can see it doubling by next year easily

silvacrest4802d ago

how exactly does your mind work?

if the same software is on the ngp, the other device shouldn't even exist?

and please, link me to any source that confirmed android content on the NGP.....please

also, you dont no how or if sony will integrate PSN with PS suite, having to rebuy ps1 classics doesn't prove much, only that sony want more money

there is a reason why we have HD remakes of PS2 games instead of software emulation, selling the same game twice or spend money on emu that wont bring in any money....think about it

Zancruz4802d ago

I think it would be really cool if Sony does it right. Give it the smarts to be a workhorse for business and give it the power for great entertainment. Adding a better Remote Play like the PSP where it can connect through the internet to the PS3 so we can excess our stuff would be epic.

tdrules4802d ago

fuck Playstation Certified!
stop fragmenting the Android platform even more, stop removing apps made from hard working people such as psx4droid, who survive on their work to live.
if you're going to release Playstation games, release it on the Android platform as a whole or don't release it

Christopher4802d ago

Let me get this straight, Sony should stop making applications to play their own IPs so that others can profit off of making emulators that play Sony and other third-party owned IPs illegally?

tdrules4802d ago

No, they should allow all Android devices be able to play their IPs, not restrict it to their hardware.
Maybe you should grow up and look up "Open Source", and research why developers like Android.

Don't you think if Sony released games exclusively for PS3 Slim, people with a fat one would be royally pissed off right?

I'm annoyed at how they handled the PSX4Droid situation, the app has been around for a very long time and they didn't give a fuck. So they don't care about people stealing their IP, they're scared people won't buy Playstation 1 games for the 100th time when "Playstation Certified" launches.
Tragic Capitalism in motion.

Christopher4802d ago

***No, they should allow all Android devices be able to play their IPs, not restrict it to their hardware.***

And they will, with the PlayStation Suite application.

***Maybe you should grow up and look up "Open Source", and research why developers like Android.***

May be you should realize that Open Source has nothing to do with creating emulators to illegally play someone else's IP.

***So they don't care about people stealing their IP, they're scared people won't buy Playstation 1 games for the 100th time when "Playstation Certified" launches.
Tragic Capitalism in motion.***

So, you are anti-capitalism and think everything should be legal for what is currently considered the illegal distribution of license of someone else's IP? Can I remember that when you own a business of your own?

Jihaad_cpt4802d ago (Edited 4802d ago )

Dear turd, Sony can do as they please with THEIR software library

tdrules4802d ago (Edited 4802d ago )

sure they can, but they should make their own firmware and not lean on Android for it.
it spits on everything Android stands for

Ju4802d ago (Edited 4802d ago )

Why? What does Android stand for? Everything is free or what? Android is not so open as you want to make people believe.

Ever tried to get the Google Market on a device which comes without? Good luck with that. (Yes, there are alternatives, but not the same).

Android is a closed system - using Open Source components. If you want to sell a Android device, you need a license from Google. Android is not free (even though, you can compile your own version).

silvacrest4802d ago

open your eyes, sony are a company in the business of making money, NOT pleasing irrational open source fans

the PS suite will be available to PS certified devices and tegra devices, what more do you want?

and the fragmentation you complain about is a blessing in disguise, it means the choice available is immense, the only people who get burned are the uninformed

Jihaad_cpt4802d ago

Google agreed to it,so your problem with Sony only is really not making sense

New and improved ASUS ROG Ally X battery life is just what it needs to compete with the Steam Deck

Yet another leak for the ASUS ROG Ally X points towards as much as 8 hours of battery, but how does that compare to the competition?

Honestly, I really like this updated version. But it doesn't solve the biggest flaw that the original had for me: the Z1 Extreme APU. Yes, it's an extremely powerful part, but it is not part of AMD's Adrenalin driver update program, so it's dependent on Asus for driver updates. And unfortunately, Asus doesn't have a stellar record of support for their devices.

Goodguy0113d ago

Up to 8 hours basically just means the least demanding games. AAA gaming at highest wattage would probably be about 2-3 hours which is good compared to just about 1 hour with the current ally. The OLED Deck can do about 2-3hrs.

mrcatastropheAF10d ago

With much less performance so that makes sense.

The Steamdeck shines at the lower TDP end but gets absolutely mopped at the high end.

Similar longevity with much better performance is a big win for the Ally X

Killa7811d ago

Too bad Asus are all awful company.

PRIMORDUS11d ago

They used to be the best when it comes to motherboards, now I will never buy anything from them again.

Firebird36011d ago

8 hrs yea right. Running tetris?

Skuletor11d ago

Only after setting the screen brightness to the lowest level, of course.

Notellin10d ago

They tested the battery life watching a game of Tetris in 360p. Running Tetris natively brought the number down slightly to 1 hour and 38 minutes. 😂

Asuka11d ago

Nope. The only improvements I want to hear is better customer support. Otherwise, I can't be bothered.
