Nearly three-quarters of UK opening-weekend Homefront sales were made on Xbox 360.
A titanic 70 per cent of copies were sold for Xbox 360, leaving 26 per cent for PS3 and four per cent for PC, according to Chart-Track (a company that doesn't include sales for digital services like Steam).
Jack writes: "Back in March 2011, the first-person action shooter Homefront arrived on the Xbox 360 from THQ, along with a storm of publicity which included a really cool live-action trailer"
Last week game dev Steve Thornton took to Twitter to ask: fellow devs, have you ever slipped something into a game you're working on that's just for you? The replies are well worth a read.
Deep Silver and Humble Bundle are currently offering the first Homefront game for free. This offer will last for the next 48 hours, so be sure to visit its Humble Bundle page in order to acquire your free copy.
get it! the single player is excellent and intense and the MP is pretty fun, too.
Ehh, PS4 needs these deals too, or consoles in general we always get discounts rarely free stuff that's REALLY free (games with gold / psplus isn't free)
Killzone 3's to blame, or compliment? for this.
WOW
I knew Homefront on 360 would outsell the PS3 version but by that much is suprising.
I guess Killzone 3, Crysis 2, and Socom 4 next month is enough shooters for a person who only owns a PS3.
But if you do own both consoles, I would assume most people would have bought it for 360 anyway because of the community.
Homefront 2 360 exclusive? :)
@DavidMacDougall - Yes. I also think the factors such as most gamers on Xbox Live have headsets and that the controller is better suited for FPS games are playing into the sales.
Smarter buyers
because ps3 users have options other than generic multiplat shooters hell yakuza 4/ar tonelico III got better reviews and are just better games......different genres. Fancy that
