Well if they make game on consoles, it won't be traditional Total War game, that's for sure :D I'm still to try Shogun 2, which looks amazing by the way, and I need new PC for it, but I would kill for Rome 2.. Come on CA, bring it next!

emk20044809d ago

i agree, might be another hack and slash like the other one they made.

If they made a game like mount and blade I'm sure it'd be successful.

Mount and blade may not be a looker, but It's one of the most memorable games I've played in awhile.

Mount & Blade is Paradox game, right? I have been playing theyr games a lot lately, EU: Rome, Crusaders, Elven, but not yet M & B. After seeing all the great mods for it, I'm definitely going to check it out.

Played the beta tought, but it have propably changed a lot from it. Was excellent even then.

all their console games suck so far, they should just stick to pc.

Spartan: Total Warrior was pretty fun, it reviewed well too from what I remember. Heard Viking: Battle for Asgard was ok, Stormrise was of course terrible, and releasing it the same week as Halo Wars probably didn't help SEGA much either.

Their previous venture to consoles went terribly. Stormrise was just all bad.

From what I'm aware, Stormrise was from their Australian studio and the best game they ever made was Medieval 2 Total war, the UK studio however has done everything else well, except maybe Napoleon perhaps

Sega sells Relic and will cut 240 jobs across UK studios

GamesIndustry.biz writes: "Relic is best known for the Company of Heroes and Dawn of War games, and recently developed the new Age of Empires for Microsoft. Relic will transition to an independent studio and will no-longer be part of the Sega group of studios.

The majority of the 240 job cuts are across Creative Assembly and Sega Europe, while there will be a ‘small number’ cut from Sega HARDLight. There was no mention of other Sega UK studios, including Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive."

Shame about Creative Assembly, they should have just been allowed to do an Alien Isolation sequel.

just_looken48d ago

It was that garbage coh 3 that did them in only a special team can make a sequel worse in every way even though it was a 10 year gap and the same era.

gold_drake49d ago

I hope they find new jobs in the industry soon.

Jingsing49d ago

Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive probably run on a shoe string budget so that fits into SEGA better lol
