KZ2 was patched because people complained about not being able to achieve certain badges... as a result GG had to make certain tweaks, which added nothing to the game except make noobs happy, like high precision. The other patches actually removed what was added... Examples? Stronger Airbots were removed, instead they got smarter, Spawn invincibility was added then removed. The only fix that was needed was reducing the health of Assault troopers. The game wasn't broken or hacked or unplayable... like COD is. Neither is it imbalanced. Even MW2 is still being patched. Your comparison is flawed.

Every game has problems and tweaks... COD is a problem itself. A disaster on disk. Oh and you buy that disaster every year.

no. the dlc maps in kz2 were part of regular rotation. they could do it now. people who didn't buy the dlc obviously wouldn't be allowed into the games if the dlc is in the rotation. its annoying to search constantly and continuosly be placed in saluman. its a problem and needs to be addressed.

I really did not like this game but I layed down 65 and picked it up at midnight so I really tried to give it a chance. If you're new to N4G then you must know that Both fanboys exist here but the PS3 group is much larger. You will most likely get disagrees for saying anything negative about anything sony (even if ur right). You'll even have bubbles taken away because people don't know how to use the disagree button to in fact show they disagree with you. They get so angry over a console (sad indeed) they feel the need to try and silence you. The same applies if you go into a 360 thread and say something negative. If the marksmen with indefinite invisibility and the best (arguably) close-midrange weapon in the game don't turn you off, the unlimited proximity mines will.

What unlimited proximity mines? I play as an engineer and I know for a fact that you can only place 2 proximity mines at a time. If you try to put anymore then that before they explode the others disappear. I assume this is there to prevent that class from booby trapping every single point on the map. Have ever even played the game or did I just catch you stealth trolling? If you are talking about always getting more then we should ban bullets and grenades too because I can always get more of those too. BTW everyone complaining about proximity mines then can easily be seen by the flashing red or green lights and be destroyed. Maybe if you used some tactics instead of barreling headlong into battle there would be no problems

I've dealt with lots of marksmen using their cloaking by simply figuring out the best positions in the map depending on the mission parameters. They still lose some invisibility when they also move and they have to kill with a silenced weapon to remain invisible. Proximity mines are so easy to spot unless they are placed tactically. You just made yourself look like a total noob who runs and guns in a game that requires teamwork.

The Medic class isn't overpowered, but its great that the revive range has increased, because I kept having to get on top of downed players just to revive them, which sucked immensely.

Another Marksman or an Infiltrator. I had many melee kills on Marksmen who pick favorite sniping areas. I have a leveled up Marksman but still play most games with a Tactician or an Infiltrator, or whatever class is needed given the mission and conditions. You make it sound like the Marksman class is invincible. Any class will beat any other class if the player is skilled.

No, I guarantee that if you have downloaded the retro map pack, your maps haven't been rotating correctly either. This is a known problem that GG has openly acknowledged. And if you spent a few minutes on the killzone.com forums, you would see scores of complaints involving hard freezes and connection errors.

Well after playing I can say the stability issue with the console master messages has been sorted, I didn't experience any disconnects.

As for the medic, it feels more like the medic on KZ2 now, although we don't have the gun, we can revive from pretty safe distances. Another plus with that is that since it takes a shorter amount of time to heal (because we don't have to run as far) it means we can heal more people before they respawn.

kz3 is not broken. GG just screwed up by fixing something that was not broken. On top of that, who was the idiot at GG design who said scrap all the patches from Kz2 that brought life to it... so many features gone :(

That's my biggest problem with Killzone 3. Leading up to the release, they continuously talked about making changes to the game that was requested by the fans. After playing it, most of the changes catered to people who didn't even fuckin like Killzone 2! This is made more clear by the comments on the actual Killzone forums, you know, that place where only real fans are likely to discuss things. Guerilla unnecessarily removed so many features from KZ2, and I really cannot understand why. The main complaint people had with KZ2 was control lag. I'm not going to get into that whole argument, but it was "fixed." Fine. However, removing things like weekly honor badges, spawn on squad leader, custom secondary badge, full stat tracking, etc. Why would they do this? I do play it a lot, but it feels like they basically just started from scratch, swapped out maps and class abilities, then removed everything else from Killzone 2.

I'd like to see something done to balance the classes a bit. I see only Infiltrators and Marksmen everywhere and both classes are much more attractive skill and weapon wise compared to the other classes.
I play Tactician and a decrease in the ridiculously long cooldown on Spot and Mark would be more than appreciated not to mention our sentry bots do shit damage. It's sort of hard to cap points when you can't see the invisible sniper waiting to brutal melee you as soon as you enter the area or to be aware of the four Infiltrators walking around because Spot and Mark has been cooling down for the last 3 minutes...
