April 12th arrival in US for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and DS title
Publisher THQ has announced that it will release its licensed kids title Rio on April 12th in the US.
That's just three days before the release of the film at US cinemas.
A UK release date for the game has not yet been confirmed, though with the film hitting UK screens on April 8th it's possible that THQ's title will arrive on these shores a little earlier.

Birds of a feather party together
Rio from the makers of Ice Age is a movie tie-in party game from the same name which includes over forty mini-games using six playable characters, Blu, Jewel, Pedro, Nico, Raphael, and Eva in a brightly coloured action packed Carnival theme. Although also on PlayStation 3 and Wii, the Xbox 360 version has three additional exclusive mini-games.
Given the game’s reliance on competition, it’s a great shame that Rio doesn’t include any online gameplay. Though it offers drop-in gameplay for up to four players on a single system, the only use of the PlayStation Network Rio makes is that of the now essential Trophies.
