Rob Rich Writes: My history with the Monkey Island series has been a little less typical than most. You see, despite my uber-geek tendencies I’d never heard of Guybrush Threepwood, Elaine Marley or the Ghost Pirate LeChuck until a friend introduced me to The Curse of Monkey Island when I was in high school. To this day I’m eternally grateful to him.
Fast-forward to today and I’ve just completed Telltale Games’ attempt at creating the eagerly-anticipated fifth game. I’ll spare you the details but suffice it to say it took me a while to finally get around to playing it. I tried the computer version but couldn’t get past the garbage controls. Thankfully the PSN version is much more user-friendly. Of course, there’s still the little matter of just how well Telltale handled the legendary adventure series. Sure they did fine with the crime fighting dog and bunny-thing duo, but Monkey Island is holy ground for a lot of folks.
The Nerd Stash: “The PS3 marked a turning point in the industry, and among the sea of popular titles came the rare games that are worth more now than ever.”
I don’t collect games for their value I collect games I enjoyed playing. Many games I own are worth a lot of money but they must be games I want to play for me to purposely collect them. Most of this list isn’t games I would enjoy. I may have some of these games because I bought my friends PS2/3 Collection years ago and I never actually looked what was in it. It was a couple hundred games though still sitting in a box and I’m sure there are some good valuable games. I should go sift through it sometime.
Was unaware that Verdict Day was rare, glad I still own my copy. Game is very good.
She forgot to mention Ni no Kuni Wrath of the White Witch Wizard's Edition with Ninostarter bonuses. This is the second or third most expensive PS3 game, and I own a sealed copy.

“As a reimagining of a classic 2D platformer, Rocket Knight remains one of my favourite modern examples of the genre so let's see why.” - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums.
GL: "Staff writer Shaz reflects on his small library of physical games he's kept throughout the decades, and how a recent move made him nostalgic."
I lost my drive for collecting physical games due to many discs lacking the whole complete game. Instead, of collecting games I started collected figurines.
I am a collector have a room dedicated with a couple original arcade cabinets, physical game library, old and new consoles and controllers backlit with LED lighting. It’s very cool to have but with emulation being so strong and prevalent, I sometimes feel foolish because the hobby is expensive and like another said, the full game is not always on the disc. Could probably spend more wisely but I enjoy it.
