Gamasutra editor-at-large Chris Morris analyzes the sudden dissolution of the Guitar Hero music franchise at Activision, with input from multiple financial sector analysts, who discuss how the company has "pretty much driven the franchise into the ground".
Microsoft's Activision subsidiary announced today that it is opening a new game development studio to take advantage of the huge talent pool growing in Poland. It'll be the second Activision studio based in the region, joining Infinity Ward Krakow, although this studio is, in fact, not working on Call of Duty.
The details for multiple future Call Of Duty games appear to have leaked, including a follow-up to Advanced Warfare.

Well another troll company with a patent trying to extort money out of companies. Seems like they’re going to try and sue everyone.
this is why you dont make sequels every year because eventually people get sick of them. COD is still popular but im sure eventually it will meet the same fate.
I never really liked Guitar Hero
With Rock Band, why would you play Guitar Hero?
Activision saturated the market within the last couple of years. Guitar Hero III, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Green Day, World Tour, Warriors of Rock...there was just too much out there and not enough to really differentiate the games from one another.
Instead of focusing on big game licenses they should have focused on gameplay innovation.
Im so happy this is happening to Acti and Guitar Hero.
