IGN: Xbox 360 Games of Fall 2007

When a game as big as Grand Theft Auto IV gets delayed to '08, you'd expect the holiday season to look slimmer. That is not the case this year. In fact, the loss of GTA IV just means a dozen AAA games are coming instead of a baker's dozen. This glorious wealth of promising titles means gamers have a lot of options from now until the end of the year. But once you've picked up Halo 3, what else is worth spending your money on? IGN picked 20 games coming this fall worth checking out.

i love them ....

meaus..i dont see naruto on this years list for ps3..neither mass effect...or PGR4.. even ace combat 6... maybe you have a different list??

Meus Renaissance6062d ago

People who say that usually are talking about exclusives. The vast majority of the games listed above are actually multiplatform so don't shame yourself.

Halo 3 is on my list, aswell as PGR4 and Naruto. I must be the only one not interested in Mass Effect lol

drewdrakes6062d ago

Meus Interpretation - Fable 2?

SonySoldiers6062d ago (Edited 6062d ago )

Japanese games RULE!.. so does the PLAYSTATION 3.

Cowboys consoles are breaking up sooner... but the PLAYSTATION 3, a proven technology from Japan.

Meus Renaissance6062d ago (Edited 6062d ago )

Its a question people ask, not me. I know all about MS's exclusives. I'm not the one criticising them.

am I the only one noticing Microsoft is only giving us 4 exclusives on the 360 this season?

Halo 3
Mass Effect
Ace Combat 6
PGR 4

Microsoft wheres the exclusives?

Xi6062d ago

add in all the great 3rd party titles, no need to compete with itself.

TnS6062d ago

You can delete Ace Combat 6 if this is true:

it dont make the list..you kids hahahaha

I can't understand how 360 fans who like fast paced adventures could pass up Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Ratchet & Clank, and UT3 with mods. Then Eye of Judgement, Folklore, Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, Haze, Time Crisis 4, and Singstar. Then my ishh, GT5 Prologue! And wireless Rockband plus multiplats! Then 2008 is a exclusive spank fest. To each his on.

FirstknighT6062d ago (Edited 6062d ago )

Uncharted looks very good and I will be swapping consoles with my cousin so I can play that game. We swapped consoles months ago so I could play Resistance and he could play Gears. Hopefully they'll fix the questionable AI from recent gameplay videos. Ratchet and Klank is for kids and I don't care about mods for Unreal. All the other games u listed are 7 or 8 at best. The 360 has its fair share of big games coming out in 2008...Ninja Gaiden 2, Huxley, Fable 2, Alan Wake, Halo Wars, etc...

The ps3 is still FAR BEHIND in game quality.

eagle216062d ago

Killzone 2 Metal Gear Solid 4 Tekken 6 LittleBigPlanet Final Fantasy XIII Gran Turismo 5 White Knight Story SOCOM Eight Days The Getaway Infamous FFXIII Versus Jak and Daxter PS3 etc.

loved playing it. i know it may sound like im tryna start somethin with what im about to say but i would have played it on my friends 360 buts his just broke and he's not getting it fixed until around january. i just hate getting something that breaks because i get really pissed but i heard the elite doesnt break as much, is it true??????????????

felidae6062d ago

there's really not that much after Halo 3

Daxx6062d ago (Edited 6062d ago )

Huxley
Gears of War 2
Too Human
Halo Wars
Marvel Online

Heck, I'll even be playing Halo 3 when those games are released.

Dr Pepper6062d ago (Edited 6062d ago )

Splinter Cell 5
Alan Wake
Fable 2

I'm getting tired of people saying the 360 won't really have anything (good) after Halo 3.

Covenant6062d ago

Killer lineup...and they left out Jericho, Beautiful Katamari, and a solid array of B-grade titles, sequels, and sports games.

MS has the games...can they capitalize on this bounty?

Why MW 2019 is still the best looking Call of Duty to date

MW 2019 is five years old at this point and on previous gen hardware, but it is still the best looking Call of Duty game to date.

MW was an excellent videogame. They messed up Spec Ops big time, but aside from this it was a huge step in the right direction initially. Most notably, at launch it seemed to come from a very cohesive creative vision that was felt across gameplay, to story to art style/visual direction. It was also very notably written by prominent ex-Naughty Dog guys that quit almost immediately before release.

That COMPLETELY dissolved through post-launch content and the full pivot to a "cross-mode" narrative that completely obliterated the cohesion in overall story direction. Warzone then "became" the new face of Call of Duty and the franchise completely removed itself from anything remotely creatively "good". It is a pure money machine, so I kinda get why they're doing it....but I personally completely lost interest.

I would love to see Infinity Ward move off CoD and get to make their own product with full control. They clearly have some massive talent in their ranks but it's perverted by Activision's corporate interests.

The Best Tomb Raider Games Ranked

We've gone on many adventures with Lara Croft. With another reboot in the making, Wealth of Geeks felt it was a good time to go down the nostalgia rabbit hole and remember the best of those tomb-raiding thrills.

I do agree that Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness was the worse one 😂 I remember playing some of it and I took it back. That game was just awful in every way. I bought it used at gamestop and glad they had that 7 day return policy for used games 😂

Pyrofire9563d ago

Would it be worth saying why?

ZeekQuattro63d ago

Simple. He's been hating on the Tomb Raider reboots for years. I can't imagine seeing them at the top of a best TR game list let alone being on the list in general sitting well with him because of it.

-Foxtrot63d ago

Zeek

“Hating”

No no, just pointing out how TR mutated into a generic action adventure game losing the appeal of what it once was when it was more about puzzles and platforming over going Rambo, slaughtering waves of enemies

But hey, continue being a dick and speaking about me like I’m not going to see the comment.

MeatyUrologist62d ago

Foxtrot, I'm curious if you have played the most recent games. Sure the 2013 reboot was hugely focused on combat, but each follow up became less and less about combat to the point where outside of a few large scale story missions I don't even remember combat being a part of shadow of the tomb raider. Shadow was so puzzle focused it actually was a bit much for me and I love the TR puzzles.

I still feel like Rise was the best of the series and I was a huge fan of the originals. To me it struck the perfect balance of exploration, platforming, puzzles, and combat. Not saying your opinion is wrong I'm just curious what you think they should have done different. Games do need to evolve somewhat to stay relevant. Would you prefer small linear jumping platform levels like the original?

RavenWolfx63d ago

I would agree Rise for 1 and the reboot as 2. Shadow is a bit high, though.

Sonic188163d ago (Edited 63d ago )

I think Shadow wasn't even develop by crystal dynamics. I thought it was the worse in the new trilogy

Pyrofire9563d ago

That's right. Shadow was developed by Eidos Montreal who who went and made Marvels Guardians of the Galaxy next. (Great game)
Meanwhile after Rise of the Tomb Raider, Crystal Dynamics made Marvels Avengers. (bad game)

MeatyUrologist63d ago

Agrees. First two are correct but Shadow should be around 5-6.

terstomp63d ago

For me, Legend should be alot higher (along with the other two ). Shadow, I enjoyed it, but has too much has fluff, as modern games tend to do. Playing the remastered series, and apart from the controls, is very good.

jznrpg63d ago

I really enjoyed the first 2 games, Legend and the first of the reboots and the rest I didn’t get into so I never finished.

robtion63d ago

Completely subjective list. I really liked Underworld, I preferred Lara's design. That said I loved the horror/uncharted feel of the reboot. I think all the TR games have strengths and weaknesses. None are objectively better in every way.

The Simpsons Arcade was awesome

VenomUK87d ago

I never knew there are TWENTY-EIGHT Simpsons games!

Stuart575686d ago

Its crazy when you look at ALL the games they made. Same with Assassins Creed, when you count in all the handheld and mobile games there are three times what you may have thought. Some of it shovelware though. I completed Simpsons Arcade recently at a local retro gaming arcade, awesome, I really felt like a 90's kid all over again, except my back was hurting!!
