Ace Combat 6 heading to PS3 with Beautiful Katamari, Eternal Sonata?

According to an interview at the French website Jeux Video, (see the first alternative source below,) the producer of Ace Combat 6 has revealed the possibility of a PS3 version of the air simulation game.

In addition, earlier the official site for Beautiful Katamari listed PlayStation 3 and Wii versions as "TBD" ("To Be Determined,") The website has since then been updated, and the PS3 and Wii listing removed after being spotted and reported.

In a similar fashion, Eternal Sonata (aka Trusty Bell in Japan) is also listed as "TBD" for PlayStation 3 -- but interestingly, no Wii. The unintentional listing has also been discovered and removed.

Altogether which seem to be an interesting coincidence. 1UP speculates that Beautiful Katamari and Eternal Sonata will be announced at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2007, (i.e., the second alternative source below.)

regarding Ace Combat 6, then for ME personally it would be as big as KILLZONE 2. Remember this is for me. It would fill the final spot for why I purchased the PS3 in the first place.

having a ps3 is great, but there is something better; having a 360 and a ps3. no way you can lose with that; if one breaks (10/1 odds the 360 lol) you have the other to play. and if you're like me, someone whos loved ace combat since ps1, waiting a year or more to play it is too damn long, and the 360 joystick combo looks ace (shouldnt overheat...not an MS made product lol)

I remember not long ago people making fun of the PS3 because Namco had repositioned itself on only bringing BKD out on the Wii and 360. If this is true I wonder what they've seen in the PS3 base that has changed their minds (besides the obvious: more money)? But if that's the only reason then why didn't they keep it slated that way?

I mean they made the bulk of their money in the 'haydays' of the PS2, so why slap the PS owners in the face that way? Never understood that one.

Its going to be VERY sweet, especially with the flight stick, but its not going to hurt the 360. Its just good news for the PS3 if it happens--congrats if it happens. Ace isn't an exclusive that will necessarily sell (at least a LOT of) systems. gCM

Agreed, the number of units sold in Japan wouldn't justify the exclusivity because the Xbox 360 doesn't sell over there, and no one in the west will buy it since they'll all be playing Halo 3...

I followed the link that supposedly points to the "proof" that Eternal Sonata is coming to PS3 and there is absolutely no mention of the PS3 on the site. Maybe I missed something, but I'm leaning towards this being bullsunni.

Those games are not monster hits. A few average Japanese games on XBOX 360.

To me a timed exclusive is as good as an exclusive.

Not like 360 has many exclusive games either buddy.. What happend to your beloved gears of war? Step aside while the real gamers not only play gears but play it for free, with mods, on whatever gamepad they wish.

As far as this article Ace Combat 6 has always been going to the PS3. I guess if you read all your news here you might think otherwise but it was always slated for a release after the 360 version...

Hopefully we get some extra content like we usually do. And call me crazy but ports have only improved so :)

The 360 has barely if any exclusives.. Timed at best. They put stuff like "Only on Xbox 360" and then 4-6 months later release it on another platform. 360 barely provides a unique gaming experience that can't be found on a PC or PS3. If a game sells well it's almost a certain that it will show up on another platform.

Halo, Bioshock, Gears, Lost Planet, Dead Rising on and on.. I know many people who would love to play Mass Effect but they are all not going to buy a 360 for it and are waiting for it to come to PC.

PC? Now there's a nice place for shovelware. I think I'd rather enjoy Halo, Gears of War, Lost Planet 3-5 years ahead of time. As for exclusives. You are right! Xbox 360 doesn't have that many console exclusives. I think your clan needs you in WOW.

I really doubt Ace Combat 6 will be on PS3, only because they want to make the online right with Xbox Live. I do believe Eternal Sonata and Beautiful Katamari will head out PS3.

Namco website was changed earlier today. It's likely to come to PS3/Wii (depending on the game) at some point in time. Maybe 6 - 8 months later.

you see how long it took GRAW2+RB6 to hit PS3...and it wasnt even timed exclusive....

Knowing that its hard for Dev's to work with the PS3.
and there is no where a solid evidence of a 'Timed exclusive' on any of these games...

with the path that blue-dragons and eternal sonata go, Japanese developers are pretty careful when come to launching japanese titles that are non-FPS and exclusive 360. They shot down really bad in japan and launching in US doesn't help them too.. Multi platform seem to be more reasonable way.

Listen everyone these games are going to the PS3! These are japanese orientated games and the PS3 outsells the 360 in Japan like 8 to 1. It's very obvious these games wont be BIG SELLERS in North America aswell. Look at Blue Dragon, it didnt sell well in Japan or North America.......When I say sale well im meaning over 500,000 copies. You can bet all your money these games will show up on PS3. Im expecting the announcement to happen at TGS for a japanese release in Q4 or early 2008.

...they made it official so early. Of course they were coming to PS3, Namco wouldn't be so dumb as to not support a Sony console in Japan. Especially when Namco's most important growth came thanks to the PlayStation brand.
