Arcade Essentials from Nordcurrent for the Wii is a modern take on the genre of old school arcade game. Contained within Arcade Essentials are five different titles that include Interceptor, Terra Conquerer, Color Cells, Troops Attack, and Hexagonum.

"Nordcurrent’s Arcade Essentials collection doesn’t necessarily have anything that I would say is essential to your video game collection, but the games are rather entertaining nonetheless. The collection includes five games, each one a clone of a different classic that you have most likely played at some point in your life, especially if you were alive before spandex went out of style. Though the games all play differently, they share a similar retro style combined with an electronic soundtrack, much like Geometry Wars and various retro games that have been revived over recent years."
