7 Reasons Why Inception: The Game Will Rock

GamerZines writes:

Only last week Christopher Nolan confirmed that Inception: The Video Game is not only being planned, but is currently in production. Usually games based on any movie tend to end up in disaster or middle of the road borefests, but we have seven reasons why Inception could be the exception to the rule.

Comment of the day!

FanboyPunisher4908d ago

Dont bother..
Limited budgets, deadlines etc always make it turn out shitty.

comp_ali4909d ago

Doubt it .
Game <> movie fails almost all the time.

r1sh124909d ago

yea, completely agree.
I also hate when a movie game decides to take a different story direction and different characters.
Its set to fail.
Look at the transformers cybertron game, it was better than all the other transformer movie games (overall).

wicko4909d ago

I am totally fine with a game set in the inception world. The base idea lends itself so well to games. If done correctly, this could mean an awesome game.

Kran4909d ago

A GAME? WHUT? The movie is awesome, but the game.... no. My brain will just hurt too much

MaxOpower4909d ago

Downtown boogey4909d ago

MaxOpower4908d ago

1 Reasons Why Inception: The Game wont Rock.

It's a license game!!

arjman4909d ago

Dude I'll just be completely confused about the ending of the game, just like the movie

Battlefield 3 Trailer Meets Inception

Rob Keyes of Game Rant writes, "Electronic Arts and DICE have successfully managed to create and market a game that is easily on everyone’s most anticipated games of 2011 lists. Thanks in large part to the ‘Fault Line’ series of trailers for Battlefield 3, the game has jumped up to being one of the hottest first person shooters of the most crowded year of Triple-A FPS games ever.

What could raise excitement for Battlefield 3 even more? Mixing it with the epic score for Christopher Nolan’s mind-bending Inception, obviously."

these trailers are wetting my appetite. playing bfbc2 at the mo till this comes out.

also give battlefield play4free a try. really good.

deadpoole4787d ago

That was seriously cool ... I really liked that.

moeqawama4787d ago

Yeah that was pretty freakin sweet, wow

nveenio4787d ago

Not too shabby. Weird how people find this stuff...like playing Pink Floyd during The Wizard of Oz.

NiKK_4194787d ago (Edited 4787d ago )

whetting not wetting lol

OT: it's kinda fitting, i guess

@below
i hate those online passes from EA
i use gamefly so it's like having it used unless you pay to keep it, then you get all the stuff (including the codes)

i do, however, like them because they support the developers, but i just wish they would do something different for people who use gamefly (like maybe give gamefly special discs that include the online, or just give each user that rents it their own code (that could only be used once)

good thing i'm just gonna buy this though

Commander_TK4787d ago (Edited 4787d ago )

Don't fit. Seriously, the horns come in at the wrong time and the song itself is epic and fast-paced. So letting the song play while u camp does not fit at all.

Btw, I'm glad Zack Hemsey's epic is being recognized by the world. Best film of all time.

Kleptic4787d ago

Nikk419, agreed...

I don't use Gamefly...but have been considering it for a while...plus with fairly strong rumors that when blockbuster final takes the full dump, Netflix is going to buy up their game licensing contracts...and start offering games like gamefly does...

And something does need to be addressed for those situations...but I am pretty certain companies aren't exactly thrilled by that either...its to the point where the entertainment industries simply don't like 'renting' anymore...they just want every single person to buy the game new...never let anyone else ever use it...and never resell it...that is fine and great with me, but just like all forms of entertainment...90% of what is released is crap compared to the great stuff...and not worth buying...

I like that EA is taking the initiative to do something about Gamestops backwards logic for used game sales...but sadly I think game pricing is still completely mucked up beyond just used games being sold...

I'm borrowing Dead Space 2 from a friend...and have to pay to play it online simply because I didn't buy it new?...not the best example as that game doesn't really have anything to offer multiplayer wise, but I would at least check it out if i could...

Agreed, the music works perfectly with Assassin's Creed Brotherhood trailer

IcarusOne4787d ago

If you lag the music by 3 - 5 seconds, it's eerie how well it fits.

SmokeCheebah4787d ago

start the music when the vid hits 6 1/2, fits perfect.

xAlmostPro4787d ago

This was awesome!

However my only 'mehs' with the battlefield 3 trailers so far are that unless the guys zoomed in the weapons look very small and unusually thin.. :s and when zoomed in there seems like a lack of recoil/feedback from the gun..

However still action packed and i'll be getting it day one xD every game has something that doesn't appeal to personal tastes

Lich1204787d ago (Edited 4787d ago )

Im not a gun expert, but most people I've talked to who have fired M4s and other modern assault rifles say there is little to no kick at all. The devs for dice also take trips to fire off the guns so that they can personally get to feel what its like to fire one. So I don't know if the lack of kick is entirely wrong.

I do agree though that the guns seem a little skinny... could have something to do with the FoV they're using so that you can see the players arms and legs at various points.

Edit: I just re-watched the video and the gun was belt feed so yeah... seems like a gun like that would have a ton more kick than what was shown.

SantistaUSA4787d ago

Damn, that was a kick ass trailer! Now I'm hyped for the game!

Im guessing combining the audio was to much work for them?

Dart894787d ago

Will this have online pass??

GnarleySquid4787d ago

EA hasn't confirmed that Battlefield 3 will have an online pass yet, but it's expected.

Crazyglues4787d ago (Edited 4787d ago )

Yes of-course... it is EA's new thing to fight used game sales (GameStop and stores like that are hurting the publishers because they don't see any money from those sales), as long as you buy it brand new you have nothing to worry about..

you get your code in the Case, we should be supporting companies like this who are making amazing games and going above and beyond to push gaming on the consoles..

Especially the commitment they have made in the PS3 being one of the first developers to invest hard on learning the PS3's tech. in-order to make equal games, and this year with BF3 it looks like they are really going to push the system.

This a quality Developer, and I will always come out for DICE hands down... Day One Purchase..
