didn't like Naughty Bear at all but WET was a half decent game, I would be interested if they improve upon it.

Acquiescence4928d ago

Grand ain't it? The whole world waits for a sequel to Shenmue while guff like this gets the greenlight for another installment.

People did like the concept of Naughty Bear though. It COULD have been good, the idea is there, it just had really sh*tty execution.

AntoineDcoolette4927d ago

At least they aren't Tony Hawks or Guitar hero sequels?

Christopher4927d ago

Okay, if Naughty Bear made enough to get a sequel (WTF?), then Ninja Theory can never complain again about only selling 1.5m for Heavenly Sword. Seriously, it's amazing some of the games that get sequels.

It's profit-and-loss, CG. Naughty Bear obviously didn't have much money poured into it - otherwise they'd have hired a few staff members that stepped back before release and said "You know, this isn't a good game at all. Let's do some actual work on it." So, a few unassuming kids buy the game, and they make their money back.

Ninja Theory, on the other hand, pours huge amounts of money into stuff like voice acting, writing, all that cinematic stuff. They just don't get that people actually care about gameplay and want more from their game than just a subpar CG movie, so they didn't sell AAA figures on a AAA budget.

ROFLMAO! Naughty Bear had potential. They bummed it with too many glitches and bad design choices. Please, for the sake of those of us who love quirky games, make NB2 what NB should've been in the first place. A true epic of beary mischievous proportions. More missions, more locales, more enemies, better fight mechanics, MORE VARIETY in quests besides just killing.

Open World wouldn't hurt either.

This ^

I was kind of excited for Naughty Bear, but seeing all the reviews saying how the game was sh*t and had broken controls, really turned me off.

I was looking forward to it to be one of those sleeper cult classic hits or whatever, because it had great potential.

DevilsOwn4928d ago

When the last boss fight of the game is a cutscene, you know the developers screwed up.

A Cupcake for Gabe4927d ago (Edited 4927d ago )

Last two bosses actually. The witch and the cowboy guy. What a waste of a good idea.

lowcarb4927d ago

Are you serious? Well at least it had good commercials.

OXCGN’s Naughty Bear: Panic in Paradise Review: Grin and Bear it

OXCGN:

"The year is 2002.

The Queen Mother had just popped her clogs, Eminem was still good and games like Grand Theft Auto: Vice City were blowing up on the Playstation 2.

Cue the release of Naughty Bear: Panic in Paradise to a feverish gaming public who are impressed with the game’s state of the art play mechanics and cutting edge graphics.

In 2002, Naughty Bear can stand shoulder to shoulder with giants such as GTA and Halo and hold its head up high. The only minor problem with this happy tale is that it isn’t 2002.

Some one should have told Behaviour Interactive."

This game just seems uninteresting.

gaminoz4200d ago

Wow a psycho bear gets a sequel?

DeusExer4200d ago

Never held any hope for this game if I'm being honest.

Heisenburger4200d ago

Are you implying that you might not be telling the truth?

Lol I'm just kidding. Though that is how I read it, at first. :P

Proeliator4200d ago

It was sent to die among bigger games. Rest in peace.

Naughty Bear: Panic in Paradise – Video Preview | GodisaGeek

GodisaGeek: "When you hear the name “Naughty Bear”, you’d be forgiven for visibly shuddering. The first game wasn’t very good, but sometimes, going back to the drawing board can be exactly what a franchise needs. This second instalment does exactly that, with wholesale changes to how the game plays, it has potential to be a whole lot more fun.

But rather than take our word for it, we’ve taken some footage from a preview build for you to judge for yourself. Watch as Naughty Bear mercilessly slaughters fluffy, cuddly bears with a pipe, hides behind so foliage, before exerting yet more mayhem onto unsuspecting “enemies”."
