Shame that you can't turn into a goul and there still isn't a weather cycle. Oblivion had a weather cycle as far as I know.

Goulification would be great. A whole new character even, your more of a brute but lose most skills such as hacking etc.

Weather cycle isn't too important.

The more I see of this the more I say BIGLC. It's a lot of stuff but is that stuff better than F3.

The recent trailer turned me off the game.

Glad to see more of this game, its gonna be huge i think. I too have some reservations about it being too similar to F3 but i think they're using a formula that won already so just taking from that and building on it. Heres hoping its successful!.

This is basicly a huge dlc pack that they want 70$ for. Nothing improved at all. Color me dissapointed.

Lovely interview - answered a large number of questions I wanted to know the answers to. Shame about the lack of post-completion freeplay and no drivable vehicles. I was lucky enough to get a chance to play New Vegas at Eurogamer Expo last weekend, and it's truly excellent.

Day 1 buy. Too bad they haven't changed much byway of the graphics engine, but this could be like Thief II: The Metal Age - the graphics weren't updated at all, but it was just as good as the original. (In some areas, superior).

I like how people are saying it's a shame because there are no weather effects and no drivable vehicles but I have been playing a lot of fallout 1 and there isn't any of that. Isn't everything suppose to be a desert? Also on fallout 1 there is a guy selling cars (as a joke) and he says good luck finding petrol. This might be why they don't add weather or explain why you don't drive cars.

I' m truly interested in this game, but I' m not going to buy it if it is like Fallout 3.

Shame on the old graphics engine and the lack of Weather cycle, though.

Everyone pretends not to see how old and outdated this graphics engine is ( which is the same as Oblivion ), and it' s a shame that all the other games are always the most heavily criticized for small defects when Fallout shows that developers do not make any effort to improve. Never.

Since I am not a hypocrite like most of the Fallout fans, I say: it' s a shame and that game is not worth my 70 euros.

Why the developers who do not make any effort to improve in every aspect of their products should earn our money? I really ( REALLY ) would like someone to answer this question!!!

We have examples of other developers that try to do better every time, or at least strive to continuously and do not ask for more money for their games just for their efforts ( 70 Euros Fallout 3, 70 Euros Uncharted 2, for example ).

Thas sucks.

PS: I almost forgot to say that I find iniamissibile that in a game with a graphics engine so old there are still so many bugs.

If Bethesda released the next Elder Scrolls and it used the same exact engine as Oblivion but had over 200 map points and 160 "undiscovered" ones I would shat myself, take a week off from work and live on cup o noodles and V8 Splash the entire time.

what a silly thing to say. how about next generation??? Fallout 3 could not be done on original xbox. besides all that, Fallout 3 is about the story and gameplay. uncharted2 has nothing on fallout 3 except graphics and is seen as the superior game. point proven.

why not criticize uncharted 2 developers for a boring linear game mechanic? i know why... it looks pretty.

you obviously can only get you money's worth through graphics. i know which game i would rather play.

About "next gen" I meant that they should make a new graphics engine, come on, Gamebryo graphics engine was already used in Morrowind.

Try Morrowind and you will see that has almost the same animations ( if not really the same ) as Fallout 3. Times have passed ...

Yes, I think it could since Morrowind was ( even though I' m not sure wich one has the bigger map, I can' t remember, but Fallout 3 is not more complex than Morrowind ), I see no difficulties here.

Very true, but it doesn' t mean that can' t also be good in terms of graphics. I' m not so fond in graphics as you may think, I played and enjoyed a lot Nier ( wich is one of the most underrated game of this generation IMHO ), for example. But if they are going to do a sequel with The-Same-Identical-Graphics ... !!!

First of all I want to say that I used Uncharted 2 only as an example of a high quality product in all areas, but you can change it with Mass Effect 2, it was just an example.
I don' t agree at all, sorry. Uncharted 2 is a better quality product of Fallout 3. It' s a matter of quality to me because I love both the genres equally. Uncharted 2 is a product a lot more polished than Fallout 3 by a LOT ( third person view is revolting and virtually unplayable ).

Uncharted 2 can be boring as much as Fallout 3 ... it' s a matter of taste. I think Fallout 3 has a nice gameplay ( but still lacks something should be there in a game such this nowadays: a vehicle, for example, remember that in Oblivion -years ago- you could ride a horse! And it was the same software house, the same genre and the same graphics engine! And with less bugs! ).

But I cant take it seriously with the graphics they have. They've hardly put ANY effort into updating their graphics and display, so why should I believe they're putting tons of effort into everything else?

You cant throw in new weapons and quests, then call it a day. A team of dedicated PC modders could have used the GECK to do that within a few months. You're a fully paid development team working for a large company, I expect more than a few new weapons and a desert.

I hate when people complain so much about games that are to similar to teh previous installment. People did the same thing with Bioshock 2. For me, more of the same can be a great thing.

I just hope that it doesnt freeze up as bad as F3. I got sick of restarting the game to the point where I almost gave up.

Level Cap, that sucks. Well hopefully they tweaked the experience points, so it's not easy to get at that level so easily.
