Sarcastic Gamer's latest editorial is on the name change in Medal of Honor's multiplayer that sees one side being renamed from Taliban to "Opposing Force" as a way to placate political pressure.
From the article: "While the reasons for the families of fallen soldiers’ displeasure are obvious and not the subject of this article, I do want to talk about what is really changing in this first person Muslim murder simulator.
Oh wait, you don’t like that title? Let me change it to “Military Shooter.” There. It’s still the same thing, but I’ve humored you by changing my description.
Satisfied?"
EA senior staff has been investigated for sexual misconduct involving female coworkers, and these said people have been named publicly.
Aye just call Phil, i mean he somehow made Bobby Kotick's scandal disappear and gave him a few million dollar high five on the way out.
EA about to go down like Activision and then Phil saves the day saying.this is good for the industry and consolidation will help create competition. /s.
What's up with all these horny creeps. You gon be horny, fine. Just not at work take care of that shit before you go in. Rub one out if you have to. Don't be a creep at all. ESPECIALLY at work. But don't be one AT ALL.
"it seems that according to EA, given the events transpired outside of work between two adults, and the fact that once investigation has started that the alleged perpetrators didn’t do it again, the investigation is considered closed. [...] The victim still has to work with the people that harassed her."
Yep, EA is disgusting.
EA has announced it will engage in a shareholder-pleasing share buyback program just a couple of months after mass layoffs at the studio.
Ibrahim from eXputer: "The Medal of Honor franchise was once the crown jewel of FPS war games, later defeated by the tides of time and poor development."
They tried to turn it into Call of Duty and it killed it off. They should reboot it and go back to it's roots. But they'd ruin it with online-only/multiplayer style bullshit so why bother? I have very fond memories of these games, but this series can stay dead as far as I'm concerned.
Was literally just thinking of this game the other week with the secret nut cracker mission and the shooting Bismarck dog lmao. Loved these games as a kid
I have fond memories of playing the Medal of Honor Breakthrough MP Demo. It had two maps and custom servers. Living on campus, I had it downloaded on one of the PC Lab servers so I could access it on any computer at the university. Joined a clan and made friends that I still keep in touch with today.
EA caved under the pressure
SG, just stop. You guys aren't funny. You clearly try so hard, but the bottom line is that your attempts at humor are pretty pathetic and obnoxious.
Muslim murder simulator?, oh please. If these Muslims don't want to be classed as the enemy then perhaps they should stop stoning women to death, or calling for the west to be destroyed.
Cry me a river.
i don't care about politics ffs, change back to Talibans,it's nothing wrong with that name -,-
I can't believe they caved in.....
