With PlayStation Move being so new to the market, there aren’t a ton of games available yet, especially third party games. One of Ubisoft’s first entries into PlayStation’s motion control technology is a port of their Wii game Racquet Sports.
SFG writes,"As someone who enjoys playing tennis in real life, I have been waiting for a good Move enabled tennis game. I try to play on the real courts, but everyone I have found to play with, didn’t mesh. It is either I find someone who owns a racquet, but they don’t know how to use it, so my time is spent waiting or chasing balls all over the court. Or, I find a partner who used to be a tennis pro in Europe, and they constantly try to break me with the ball even during light warm-ups. I searched out the next best thing."
Originally released for the Wii, Racquet Sports is a PlayStation Move only title that includes five different sports that use racquets. There are 35 trophies to collect including 18 bronze, 11 silver, 5 gold and 1 platinum trophy.
Movemodo:
As Sony's flagship title for Move, Sports Champions has been at the forefront of the company's efforts to put motion control in the hands of gamers and non-gamers alike. That's why it's so surprising to see it beaten in the software sales charts by EyePet: Move Edition, with the cuddly critter taking the top spot in standalone software sales across America.
So no one brought any games with their Move purchase? All the launch titles are under 20,000 yet it sold 1ml?
Something isn't right here.
The real games will compete against Kinect in December: Heavy Rain Move Edition, Time Crisis, Sly Cooper. Plus more in 2011. Microsoft, Kinect better be able to bring it!
Sony should market Heavy Rain w/ Move to the Oprah crowd.
Can only wonder if Kinect numbers come in anywhere close to Move's will the current people attacking Move's sales apply the same to Kinect.
