So much reading, so little time.

Spikeantestor2814d ago

I just finished my first play (read?)-through of Steins;Gate. Really enjoyed it. It's often considered the highest point in the genre and with good reason. So, if you wanna see if you can enjoy these kinds of games, if the story of movies like Inception or games like Bioshock Infinite really grab you, than give it a shot.

aquaticDonut2814d ago

Plus Steins Gate 0 gets its English translation released on PS4 and Vita next month.

Feriku2814d ago

There are enough visual novels I love on this list that I better check out the others.

Gonna have to check this out. Heard some really good things about it

DragonDDark2884d ago (Edited 2884d ago )

You should. One of the best (if not THE BEST) Visual novel out there. You have to try it.

DiscoKid2884d ago

But I feel Zero Time Dilemma won't live up to the first two games because of its massive change and apparent low budget.

DragonDDark2884d ago

@DiscoKid

It got 8/8/8/8 from famitsu. Looks good so far.

Man, I still need to check out 999 and Virtue's Last Reward before I dip into this one. I've heard nothing but good things about the series, and I don't know why I haven't tried them yet.

Chaos_Order2883d ago

Virtue's Last Reward was the first I played in the series, (never owned a DS) and it took my breath away. I remember starting the game during my week off work, just checking it out. Three days later I'd already put in almost 30 hours, and I was struggling to sleep. Honestly one of the best games I've ever played, and opened up my world to just how great visual novels can be.

As for whether it's the best VN out there... I'd say Danganronpa 2 juuuuuust about edges it. But it's incredibly close. Can't wait for ZTD!

DragonDDark2883d ago

Devs is hinting at a 999 port for vita & steam.
