First Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions Review Is Live

The first review for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions has gone live on Lazygamer.net:

Your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man returns for another video game adventure, only this time things are slightly different.

The developers at Beenox have set out to mix things up a little with this new take on Spider-Man, allowing you to play as not one, but four versions of Spider-Man from alternate realities that come with their own unique styles and skills.

Does four times the Spider-Man mean four times the fun?

Not sure if you're being sarcastic, but it's 8.3 out of 10.

Wizziokid4988d ago

Yeah originally it said 8.3/100 but it was fixed, by that time I couldn't eidt my comment so now disagrees are appearing, sense of humour on N4G seems to be low.

On topic, this game will hopefully be awesome!

A decent Spiderlulz game? Wtf?

Looks like we got another Arkham Asylum on our hands....

Ognipode4989d ago

It's a decent score, but the review talks about quite a few small issues that keep it from being as good as Arkham Asylum.

Tommykrem4988d ago

Arkham Asylum didn't set the standard for Super Hero games. It set a new high, so don't expect other superhero games to be as good.

8.3 though, is surprisingly good.

blizzard_cool4988d ago

Not as good as AA but a damn fine game nonetheless

monet man4988d ago

9.0 that's what's i would give it i just finished it.

STFU ALL OF YOU!! This game is amazing!
The only thing that takes away the perfectness of it is the camera issues

HDgamer4988d ago

I'm sure they played the xbox 360 version of the game that's been pirated out. No way they actually got a review copy.

GavinMannion4988d ago

I beg your pardon, we have been a solid gaming site for over 3 years and are now the biggest gaming website in Africa. Granted we are not at the same level as the European and American sites due to our smaller base but your insinuation is more than a little insulting.

The copy was delivered by the local distributors of Activision products

You have no idea what you are talking about

tdogg060519914988d ago

I just put a massive African accent when I started to reead what you were saying. HDGamer was just fooling around don't worry.

r0gueZA4988d ago (Edited 4988d ago )

@HD GAMER - Actually all reviewers in SA have had their copies from the distributors for a few days now.

Lazygamer pirating is a ludicrous statement.

I’d Die For A Web-Slinging Spider-Verse Game in the Same Visual Style As the Animated Films

TW: “With the recent release of the sequel film, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, I’ve been revisiting the astounding world of the Spider-Verse, enjoying both the prequel and the new sequel film in all their glory; and it’s led me to ask one question — why the hell isn’t there a Spider-Verse game?”

Didn't they already have that as a costume in the previous game.

purple101318d ago

There sure was a super sweet looking cell shaded suit. Made you feel like your actually playing a comic.

shinoff2183318d ago

The look is perfect we got enough games in that art style.

S2Killinit317d ago

It would still be sick though. And I dont mean cell shading to cut corners. It would have to be amazing like the movies themselves.

potatoseal318d ago

I too would like a whole game with the entire world looking like the animated movie. It could be awesome

jznrpg317d ago

I like this style better imo

"I only wish we had five years on any one of the Spider-Man games we made!"

Well, you don't have to work for Activision ya know. But yeah, they did a fair job considering the limited resources and well....Activision.

TASM2 was like the last superhero movie that had a movie tie-in game accompanying it
