"We recently reported on an amazing fan-made video of Sonic & Knuckles, redone with current-gen graphics and, essentially, toting the exact look and feel that Sonic fans have be longing for for years. I love that video, and wish that we could get something of quality like that for real!

RageAgainstTheMShine5012d ago (Edited 5012d ago )

remember this is done by one person only.

incredible!!!

I see great love, passion and heart put into this work.

My faith in Sonic is revitalized!

One man made this with a pure heart and soul.

This is what video games is all about.

Pure and raw energetic magic!

Unfortunately Sega has lost this magic that now resides in the hearts and minds of a true Sonic lover.

I hope Sega and the whole industry learn from this and wake up. Get rid of the inner squablings and haughtiness, Sega and get your act together. Go back to the OLD SEGA of yore. The cretively competitive Sega we once knew.

One of the best heart warming stuff concerning video games I have seen in a while.

NJShadow5012d ago

Dude, that's like the Sonic we've been waiting for ever since they got done with the Sonic Adventure series. THIS should be Sonic 4. Not a remake, but the game should still be done in this style, I love it!

Taggart4515012d ago

Hell, they posted about it on their blog. It made it here to N4G about how "yes, they've seen THAT Sonic video." Let's just hope they keep this in mind for Sonic 4, Ep 2. I bet Ep 1 is too far along to make any radical changes.

Nitrowolf25012d ago

i hope SEGA picks these guys up, cause that was amazing

SoapShoes5012d ago

Dude it was just a CG video, these guys don't know anything about coding games. It did look cool, but everyone saying how they should do it would just be disappointed when it comes out and saying how it's the same old same old wishing that Sega would do something new.

Eamon5012d ago

Yeah, unfortunately it was just a CG video.

But at least they got the "dream" right. SEGA could use this as an example.

Cajun Chicken5012d ago

I think this would be great. It's happened before, Media Molecule have hired level designers and unofficial community website staff. Personally, I hope it happens here.

T3mpr1x5012d ago

If it means a better Sonic game, I do not mind yet another delay...

NJShadow5011d ago

Yeah, and they had better take it to heart and hire this guy!

I doubt it will affect Sonic 4, at this point it is a done deal. But maybe we will get a decent Sonic some day...

SoapShoes5012d ago

And what exactly is wrong with Sonic 4? It has the SAME gameplay as the old Sonics and pretty much the same look aside from being slightly 3D.

Cyb3r5012d ago

Wow this looks better than the current gen sonic games that Sega have released so far

NJShadow5011d ago

Wow, that's oh so sad, yet oh so true.

The 100 Greatest Games Ever – Part 1 (100-76)

Video games are awesome. At their very best they can become modern marvels from an artistic standpoint, combining compelling visuals, evocative music and deep narratives into a cohesive package. They are also exceptional from a technical standpoint, being a culmination of thousands of man-hours, compiling abstract code into an cohesive experience that is designed purely to entertain you. Here at Power Up Gaming, we're passionate about our chosen hobby. That's why we felt it was about time to assemble a list of our 100 greatest games as a representation of our favourite experiences in the medium. To do this, we polled all of our staff members, collated the results into a list, and asked our writers to write up the games they were most passionate about. We'll be breaking our list down into four articles of 25 games, so check back every day this week as more of our list will be revealed. Without further ado, here's our picks for 100-75.

So many great games and memories! I've always loved getting to play as Knuckles in the Sonic games (except for the parts where instead of punching things you have to painstakingly hunt out hidden emeralds. Boo.)

smashing4fun2906d ago

Absolutely adore Sonic. 3 and Knuckles😂

Kribwalker2905d ago

I played 14 of the first 25, all good games

Even if it has been a lot of XBLA titles, you have to give Microsoft credit for the BC efforts.

cfc832933d ago

Absolutely. Completed Alan Wake the other day on bc, and it hold its own against todays AAA titles.

thereapersson2933d ago

Alan Wake is still one of the best games of last generation, period.

shabz6662932d ago

yeeeah. i got alan wake from the qb pre order and started playing through it again. And finally finished witcher 2 last month through it. So far i'm liking the bc stuff. it just sucks i cant play gears 3 horde on it coz of the terrible framerate. but for the most part bc is pretty useful.

sammarshall1022933d ago

Yeah there's already a lot of good games that have been added

Femto2933d ago

they're also working on all 3 bioshock games right now

Yui_Suzumiya2932d ago

BioShock: The Collection coming to PS4/X1

XanderZane2933d ago

Didn't know Phantasy Star 2 was even on the XBox. I know there was an online version, but that was it.

Youngindy212932d ago

You are talking about 2 different games.

DanielEndurance2933d ago

Splinter Cell: Conviction please!

Automatic792933d ago

Wasn't StarWars the Force Unleashed 1 and 2 release during the course of this week. These websites need to do a better job with gathering information. In all 7 titles Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2, Dig Dug, Sonic & Knuckles, Phantasy Star 2, Samurai Shodown 2 and Runner2. MS is doing a great job. I may be off but I believe there are 176 titles in all.

Caedus5112932d ago (Edited 2932d ago )

Also Lego Star Wars launched on BC...I think that was for Star Wars day but maybe it was already BC?

XanderZane2932d ago

Which Star Wars games? There are several of them.
