Commodore USA to Release Updated Commodore 64

Gizmag.com reports:

Commodore USA has just announced that it has reached a licensing agreement that will allow it to produce a full line of new Commodore branded All-in-One (AIO) keyboard computers and intends to start selling an exact replica of the original beige chassis C64. Cue some misty eyed reminiscing from a large part of our readership.

waste of funds right here

Edit
times have changed and many build their own gaming rigs...

commodore645019d ago (Edited 5019d ago )

No way.

Commodore64 was, is and will always remain... a legend amongst real gamers.
Millions of gamers got their gamer fix on the c64, a decade prior to the ps1.

Any gamer worth his salt will know that the c64 takes its place in gaming history among the atari 2600 http://www.soe.ucsc.edu/cla... and colecovison http://www.shytomonline.com...

A new c64?
I say... simply awesome.

@ commodore64 Hells yeah bra! I can't count the hours me and my bro spent on our 64 playing games. It's good to see some love being brought back to some of the starters!

The Amiga 1200 with the Motorola 68060 was my personal favorite from Commodore, although obviously it was released much later.

JoeReno5019d ago (Edited 5019d ago )

For those of us that remember the C64. Hell, my Commodore monitor still works. The computer broke long long ago, but I knew i hung on to the monitor for a reason. The again I still have my vic20 aswell.

If you bring back classics true gamers will buy it! That's why people on ebay are still buying the 8 bit NIN and it's games!

ReBurn5019d ago (Edited 5019d ago )

I would have been perfectly happy with an exact replica of the original. Seriously. Some Lode Runner or Impossible Mission in their 8-bit glory would have been right up my alley.

jakethesnake5016d ago

What I wouldn't give to play me some impossible mission!

MGRogue20175019d ago (Edited 5019d ago )

Commodore USA doesn't want to move into the modern era.. They miss the old days & in doing so have shown support for their product here.. Awww :(

Question is, Is there anyone out there who still love to play this old toy??

RKGK VR Gameplay (AKA RakuGaki) - PCVR Streamed using UEVR Mod

CG writes: Whilst games like Hellblade 2 works using the same Praydog, UEVR mod, the hyper-stylish RKGK VR gameplay looks and plays like a native VR title (aside from the lack of motion controls). The game simply just works when injecting the UEVR mod. However, gameplay is awesome using gamepad.

"also available via the Epic Games Store"

I'm pretty sure Epic Games Store is available in over 190 countries and 30 territories. So anyone that said that this game was not available in them was just lying.

I'm so shocked by games journalists and fauxragers lying. Really shocked. I do pity them though. I can't imagine going through life with such anger... at everything.

bunt-custardly12h ago

Hehe, you do know how much PC players whine about having multiple store platforms when really all they want is Steam to run a monopoly. Thank ye heavens for Gog and Epic.
