I for one welcome any feature that will alter, enhance and improve my gaming experience with buddies.

But this podcast isn't exactly about cross game chat rather its the name of the podcast. meh..

We've had custom soundtracks for a long time now. Granted it's not universal but they exist.

TBH though that feature is worthless for many games.

And what do you mean still no Home? Home has been available to everyone for over a year now lol.

As for VidZone, it's constantly expanding the countries it's available in. Law and legislation is the thing standing in it's way.

Sony to me seems to go off adding features and apps that I dont care nor am I interested in.

To be honest I always assumed playstation+ was going to offer the communication features ive always beg for. Instead as it turns out its nothing but a paid based discount service not quite what I was expecting.

The only update I can remember liking were the in game xmb, trophies (which they still have to fix the syncing on), the store redesign, the friends list number extention, and thats pretty much it.

Still while there are certain neat features like custom background soundtrack it is according to sony, something thats largely up to developers to include. My proble with this is, this is something that should be mandatory.

The only features I care about and in my honest opinion feel like sony just needs to work on implementing in one single huge firmware update, instead of multiple updates are..

Cross voice chat
Voice masseging
Party system
Multiple log-in IDs
Disc-less netflix(which they are actually working on)
Buddy info on gaming progress (Progress report) (the ability to see not only what game your buddies are playing but also what level they are on and on what difficulty, or simply what mode they are playing and in what map. I noticed a few games have this, I just need this to be universal across all titles.

This above should also apply to movies, store and web browsing. Only with private and public settings.

Ability to massege friends and listen to music while browsing the store.

Better web browser or support for 3rd party browsers(firefox, chrome ect).

Auto Background patching and installations.

Auto display and sound settings based on the highest and beat quality suggested by the system, I find myself tire of having to adjust my display settings everytime something goes wrong.

Custom avatars, not that this does anything for me or effect my gaming experience but its something the kids seem to brag about these days.

Weather,time, location and trophy level(located next to your and your buddies avatar) I figure this would be a nice feature to have just to know based on the zip code entered when registering a psn account how and whats a buddies conditions.(dont need to know exactlty their address) just location and time and weather this helps with localizing friends and the right buddies for late night frag fests.

This would make life with playstation obsolete and believe it or not function better while consuming less memory.

Faster trophy sync.

Thats just whats at the top of my head right now, im sure theres more.
