Nomura Tweets about Final Fantasy Versus XIII

If you've been following The Third Birthday tweets from Square-Enix, you may have noticed that Nomura would be thinking about answering some questions about Versus.

I agree, from what i've seen so far I love everything about the game.But still I need to know where the love for Nomura comes from. Tell me what game besides Kingdom Hearts has he made, please explain. I don't know where the love comes from.

EDIT-Really? He was the character designer only for every FF up until versus.

I'm on his wiki now, he made the story to FF7 and was just the character designer for the rest of the titles you mentioned except TWEWY where he was the creative producer(what's that),

He has been involved in almost every final fantasy since, I dunno like FFV, he used to do mostly character designs, but now he also does lots of directing and such.

He was the character designer and basic story writer for FFVII and FFVIII so he created Cloud and Squall etc.

Other notable games he worked on include FFX, Parasite Eve 1 and 2, The World Ends with You.

So far he has directed all the Kingdom Hearts games as well as Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

He is the genius behind the Kingdom Hearts series and also responsible for creating the characters of FFVII, VIII, X, XIII, Agito XIII, Versus XIII, The Bouncer and The World Ends with You. Also directed Advent Children and did the character designs for that as well.

i want my true final fantasy fix. ff13 was not a final fantasy game. it just happened to have the name final fantasy on it. i want airships and exploration. epic cut-scenes and a epic story i can follow deeply.

I know I'm gonna get hit massively for saying this, but after the recent games SE made I'm not keeping my expectations or my hopes up high until AFTER it comes out.

I'm still feeling the hatred for 13 and how they "promised" one thing but delivered something completely opposite - multi or not they still talked of one thing and did another.

If voice work starts now, that means they aren't that far off to finishing it. Plus, the traieler debuted in what? 2006? Releasing it in 2012 would make 6 years that they've been working on it (on top of however many months+years they've been working on it before the trailer was shown).

I'm pretty sure we'll get it late 2012 or maybe Spring 2012.

But as far as I'm concerned Square has yet to deliver a "Great" let alone an unquestionably good game this console gen. Until they do any of their attempts at hype just turn my stomach. Especially if they don't show any footage.

Sorry again, but this gen, on HD consoles at least, has turned into the worst for JRPGs. They've only come under fire and the only way someone like Namura is going to prove they have any kind of real future outside of Japan is with game footage, not talk.

Yeah, he has made some good games this gen. The World Ends With You, Kingdom Hearts Coded, Dissidia: Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep.

I am lucky to have friends in Japan and they've sent me the BluRay of FF Advent Children including the FF 13 Demo. From that moment I knew that I won't buy FF 13.

I have made this comment before and I will do it again. My inside sources have confirmed that Versus is coming to the 360 but SE can't officially say anything yet. Trust me, the announcement is coming. Bookmark this page for future reference. I can say no more.

Edit: It is not a bad thing that more gamers will get the opportunity to play the game.

Kojima is my favorite Japanese developer, but theres no way you can't give Nomura his props. The man is one of the best, up there with Kojima and Ueda.

With all this talk about FFXIII Versus looking good and being this and that, it better live up to the hype. I also hope that they will make extras for the game like a CGI scene viewer, (Theater mode). As good as they made the CGI scenes in FFXIII, it was a shame that you couldn't watch them in 1080p when ever you wanted to. And maybe duo audio would be asking for to much? Regardless though, I'll be getting Versus it without a doubt.

I wish FF would find its way back to its roots, although I don't hate any FF game, I do expect better from the series, and please give me back my towns to explore, because towns and treasure are the best parts of JRPG games in my opinion.
