It's cool to see a developer actual listen to consumer demand.

Stunt5021d ago

Yeah? Tell them to bring these games to the west, then.

Army_of_Darkness5021d ago

Well, I'm definitely excited for it!.... Just as long as they don't pull that episode 1-3 crap on us!

TheDeadMetalhead5021d ago

If you live outside Japan, Namco hates you, Period. These games will never get localized. Instead, Namco will bring us such masterpieces as Dead to Rights: Retribution and Clash of the Titans. Yeah...

ClownBelt5021d ago

Oh like releasing Vesperia here in the West for the PS3? Yeah they listen alright. I just can't believe I've read that sentence.

KingNintendoFanboy5021d ago

Developers listen? Well maybe sometimes.

Natsu X FairyTail5021d ago

bought an xbox for Tales probably gon buy a ps3 for that new tales so they better bring it.

Obama5021d ago

I know they lost money for making TOV for the 360 in the west, and that they have some financial trouble, but they should definitely give the ps3 a chance with TOV.

Danja5021d ago

they better off not releasing it on the PS3 in the west it wouldnt sell that much anyways.. you guys should just import if you really want it that bad

Game-ur5021d ago

They lost money because they never gave their fan base a chance to grow, they keep releasing tales sequels on different platforms and scatter the fan base, they should just go multiplatform, and that won't be difficult since the games hardly push the graphics engines.

The other problem is obviously the lack of commitment for localization; if dubbing the whole voiceover is intimidating for them Namco should just translate the text, the choice Sega made with Yakuza.

@Denja
if Japanese games had an English text option I would import like 50 games an year. Makes me wish fansubing games is plausible.

Theonik5021d ago

Fansubbing is one of my most wanted features for the PS4. What's the point of region free platforms if you can't change the language?

Game-ur5021d ago (Edited 5021d ago )

@Theonik

It's simple to do for Manga and Anime, but very difficult for games as it needs dedicated programmers.

And I don't believe the publishers excuse that translating games costs lots of money, not when European games have more than 10 languages to chose.

P.S.: I'm actually playing Policnauts these days, a fan translated Kojima game

silvacrest5021d ago

have you come from the future?..... no? thats what i thought

it wont sell massive amounts that is true but it will sell enough to be worthy of localization

i hope namco aren't put off by poor 360 sales in japan and the west, they need to sell their RPGs to the fanbase that actually plays RPGs

Theonik5021d ago

Yeah i know translation costs money that's why i say they should allow us to patch our games or install language packs. (instead of harcoding it make an updatable file in the form of a database)

Tales Of Graces Ƒ Retro Review – Holding Out For a Hero

Gary Green said: Namco Bandai heard the call of many fans asking for the PlayStation release of Tales of Graces which was originally released seemingly exclusively for the Wii back in 2009. If you’re acquainted with the Tales series then Graces f won’t be something entirely new to you, yet if you’re a newcomer then you’ll find a plethora of gameplay mechanics and nuances that distinguish this series from other JRPGs. While the game finds itself following the traditional archetype of JRPGs, such as a somewhat clichéd story, Graces has something to offer to both veterans and newcomers alike.

"Let Me Solo Her" Receives A Special Award From Namco Bandai For His 1000th Victory Against Malenia

Immersed Gamer writes: "Let Me Solo Her is a legendary Elden Ring player who mastered one of the most infamous bosses to help his fellow tarnished via co-op. And for his service, he received an award from Namco Bandai to commemorate his 1,000th victory. The reward in question is a real, and extremely dope, custom-made sword.

Malenia is regarded as the hardest boss in Elden Ring, and the relentless Tarnished has defended literally thousands of hosts against this malice. Let Me Solo Her apparently passed 2,000 Malenia kills a while back, but it’s hard to measure the exact count he is at now. Bandai Namco sent the gift his way when he was at around 1,000 kills. But due to the nature of the object, it got stuck in customs for a while!"

At least it's the right franchise

fr0sty1155d ago

TTT is one of my all time favorite games, but I always found its soundtrack to be terrible. I'd mute the music and put my own on.
