5 reasons why Naughty Bear isn't as terrible as critics make it out to be

EX: "With an accumulative Metacritic score of 44 percent, it's fairly obvious that Artificial Mind and Movement and 505 Games' Naughty Bear wasn't a big hit with critics.

However, some of the more extreme criticism levied at the game are exaggerated. Naughty Bear definitely has enough flaws to warrant itself unfavorable reviews, but it also possesses its share of unique, creative and enjoyable qualities that most critics have been content to gloss over.

Naughty Bear has its issues, but you won't see any of them on this list. If want to know why not to buy Naughty Bear, there's more than enough reviews on the Internet to help you out with that. But if you want to know what Naughty Bear actually does right and why it's hardly as terrible as some critics make it out to be, keep reading. "

I actually liked Naughty Bear quite a bit...until the camera and repetitive gameplay made me sick to my stomach.

So, you didn't like it...

asyouburn5034d ago

the concept and humor ar there, but the game is a technical mess

kneon5034d ago

It's the most twisted game I've seen in a long time. I've only played it for a few minutes but I've watched my daughter play, it is truly deranged.

TOTAL DEFLUFICATION!

I really enjoyed Naughty Bear. Camera sucked sure, but other than that it was fun times

MariaHelFutura5034d ago

Isn`t as terrible, is not a compliment.

CrAppleton5034d ago

it's flaws aren't as bad as most critics say.. it's a good game

Neco5125034d ago

yeah, i didn't think it was bad at all. Funny as hell

Queasy5034d ago

But if we can't trust the critics, who can we trust!?!

MariaHelFutura5034d ago

I haven`t played it so I won`t judge. All I was saying was "Isn`t as terrible" is not a compliment. Which it isn`t, at all. I might try it out at some point.

See everyone has their own tastes, don't always go by what THEY say, sometimes I think if they have a bad day and play a game they might not enjoy a game (or movie) as much as well.

Looking back to 2010 and Naughty Bear: 10 Years And Still No Invite

Nick writes: "At its launch, Naughty Bear was seemingly overshadowed by E3 a couple of weeks prior. Major releases like Fallout: New Vegas and StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty grabbed gamers’ attention months prior, whereas Naughty Bear, comparable to its terrible stealth mechanics, released on a whimper. The overwhelming influx of poor reviews didn’t help its case either. Yet, a decade later and here I am - writing about a game that continues to serve as a stress reliever or a rainy day substitute. That has to count for something, as I can’t say the same for most triple-A releases."

Naughty in a Non-Sexual Way

TheLateNightGamer: I’d assume that most gamers have at least heard of Naughty Bear. Unfortunately, it’s probably from people putting it on their list of terrible games. I’ll admit, this wasn’t a game that I played so much my neighbors thought I was dead. It’s not perfect, sure. But it deserves a lot more credit than most people give it.
