About the disagrees: can't tell if that was from some jealous 360 fanboy who's never seen the game, or from some stupid PS3 fanboy who likewise has never seen this game.

But as for those that are actually offended: you need to get over yourselves.

As part of being in a liberal society, there are going to be variations of ideas, religion, politics life-styles and sexuality. If you're not secure enough with your manliness to put up with a little campy fun (which is what this game is), you need to grow up.

And don't give me the old: "I just don't want it shoved in my face!" argument. As North Americans, we are exposed to conflicting ideals/ morals/ sexual tendencies on a daily basis. It's part of living in a 'free' society. The liberty that grants people the right to worship God, give women the vote, and allows Americans to bear arms is the same liberty that protects people who favor the same sex.

If you don't like it, turn away. If you don't like it, don't buy it. Most gay content (like that in Dragon Age) requires a great deal of perseverance to actually acquire it. Because you do not agree with something (for whatever reasons) does not mean that it should not exist. And if you're that obsessed with gay content, then you quite likely have homosexual tendencies and that's alright.

This game looks campy and ridiculous - I might pick it up if the mechanics are solid.

Probably have to buy this game secretly, kinda like when buying Dead or Alive Xtreme Volleyball. People tend to stare at you, well if you go into a store where a pretty person helps you out...it's such a turn off.

You know, we're all talking about the gay imagery, but what about the other part of this news article - it's a Japanese quirky shmup. Note that PS3 shmups were few and far between for a long time, people just didn't think we were interested in America.

Then came Soldner X-2, one heck of a great shooter, and by word of mouth and a few reviews, it sold well enough to warrant an upcoming expansion. After that came Gundemonium Collection - if anyone bought that, it's a sign that PS3 owners do want shmups, because those are probably the most "fringe" shmups you could get on a console. On the PSP side, Cho Aniki 0 was looking like no one was going to buy it - the game mechanics themselves weren't that great, but lo and behold, it must have sold enough since now we're getting Cho Aniki on the PS3.

What I hope this leads to is a consensus in Japanese businesses that the US PS3 market wants shmups. Hopefully they'll be including more of the awesome shmups on PSN - maybe bringing Ikaruga over, Einhander in PS1 Classics, and maybe, just maybe, a few Cave shmups, like Mushihimesama Futari or Espgaluda 2. Let's hope.
