Eurogamer: Naughty Bear Review

Except they don't, really. There are only three environments in Naughty Bear, each of which consists of two fairly small sections and Naughty's hut. These three environments are stretched out to seven episodes, each of which features a violence-ripe sitcom like a mayoral election or the invention of a race of android-bears, with a ring-leader who's usually the ultimate target for 'punishment'.

That's too bad thought it might have been cool.

BeaArthur5051d ago

Were you really expecting much from this?

SeanRL5051d ago

Lol, as soon as I saw the gameplay I knew it was probably gonna suck.

jakethemuss5051d ago (Edited 5051d ago )

Not much to ask really.

HarryM5051d ago

I had a feeling that Naughty Bear would disappoint.

Drjft5051d ago

I was left feeling disappointed by this game. It's boring and repetitive. Shame really.

peeps5051d ago

The fact that no gameplay was shown for ages was a worrying sign but at a glipse i honestly felt this game looked like it could be a bit of fun. Don't usually go by reviews but in this case it looks like they may have saved my money

ElementX5051d ago

Where are all the people screaming "I don't trust reviews! I'm going to play the game and see if I like it. Only my opinion matters!"???

BeaArthur5051d ago

They only come out when it's something they like or were interested in. You should know that most of the people on this site are hypocrites.

Ashriel5051d ago (Edited 5051d ago )

you still need reviewers doing the thinking for you?

I haven't played the game myself so I can't comment it yet.

UnwanteDreamz5051d ago

Typical N4G Comment: This is Eurogamer guys I'll wait for 1up, Gamespot, etc.

ElementX5051d ago (Edited 5051d ago )

My comment is typical? Ok, maybe because I've been coming to N4G since 2006! When you have more than 3 years on N4G under your belt, then you can tell me what's "typical"

BTW, GameSpot gave Naughty Bear 5.5/10.

UnwanteDreamz5051d ago (Edited 5051d ago )

No the text I wrote was a typical comment man. Hence the : I guess I should have used an arrow instead.

Looking back to 2010 and Naughty Bear: 10 Years And Still No Invite

Nick writes: "At its launch, Naughty Bear was seemingly overshadowed by E3 a couple of weeks prior. Major releases like Fallout: New Vegas and StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty grabbed gamers’ attention months prior, whereas Naughty Bear, comparable to its terrible stealth mechanics, released on a whimper. The overwhelming influx of poor reviews didn’t help its case either. Yet, a decade later and here I am - writing about a game that continues to serve as a stress reliever or a rainy day substitute. That has to count for something, as I can’t say the same for most triple-A releases."

Naughty in a Non-Sexual Way

TheLateNightGamer: I’d assume that most gamers have at least heard of Naughty Bear. Unfortunately, it’s probably from people putting it on their list of terrible games. I’ll admit, this wasn’t a game that I played so much my neighbors thought I was dead. It’s not perfect, sure. But it deserves a lot more credit than most people give it.
