I loved it. You loved it. For years we’ve asked for a re-release, a remake, or just another good Bond game. And while our pleas have so far fallen on seemingly-deaf ears, Activision is ready to answer our prayers this holiday season.
We took some time to tackle the retooled Nintendo Wii version of GoldenEye on the show floor and, as far as we can tell, this is your father’s GoldenEye, and we mean that in the best way possible.
Game developers have already started to confirm that they will support the Nintendo Switch 2 with their future titles.
Hanzala from eXputer: "As Nintendo takes out 20 years' worth of stuff from Garry's Mod, I watch in shock, thinking why it continues to hurt and discourage its fans."
The irony that some of the most disgusting business practices come from companies like Disney or Nintendo, i can't even begin to understand what terrible damage was Garrys Mod making to Nintendo bottom line, imho they're getting pretty nervous about where they're heading in the future, handhelds are no longer something exclusive to Nintendo, from Steam Deck to many others, now you can play the latest games and pay a fraction of the price on Steam sales, so it's up to their exclusives, which just on their own would make hard to justify purchasing a closed overpriced hardware with outrageous price policies (Super Mario Odyssey is still 60 euro 6 years later!), and as a home console they're always underperforming compared to Sony or Xbox.
Look at how they handled Nintendo games being streamed or uploaded on YouTube in the past. They killed Yuzu and Citra even when they had nothing to do with ToTK being leaked, not to mention it was basically unplayable on emulation the week it was leaked. Smash Bros tournament, that was fairly recent. They shut down their online services without any care for purchases made. I bought a switch after skipping their last 2 consoles and handhelds but I don't plan on buying anything Nintendo in the future. They take things to the extremes, they legitimately hate their fans. They're honestly right up there with the likes of Acti, EA, and Ubi, only difference is that they disguise themselves as being family friendly all the while being shady.
Hanzala from eXputer: "The cruel hammer of Nintendo has fallen. Farewell, 3DS and Wii U, you surely brightened my life and many others; you won't be forgotten."
i have to buy this game even though cant stand activision.
same thoughts here
I won't even get close to this game, not because it will suck or anything, I believe it'll turn out to be great but I just don't like Daniel Craig as James Bond, it won't feel right for me giving the fact that I used to play the original Golden Eye all day long when it was released, Pierce Brosnan was THE James Bond in Golden Eye and I feel cheated for the change :(, I mean it's like changing Link for [insert current popular character of your choice] in a "remake" of Ocarina of Time. Yeah I know it's a fps and you don't get to see the characters face that much, but it's more than enough FOR ME to not get into this game. Anyone who grew up playing this game will know what I'm talking about, but like I said, I know it will be pretty good and a lot of people will enjoy it... just not me.
This game is one of my best memories!!!!!
If they remade the wizard of oz, do you really think they would cast judy garland as Dorothy again? apart from the fact she is dead, she would be older and times change, the audience change. They would cast a totally different person than they would back when it was first made.
Goldeneye is a remake, ok, Brosnan was the bond in that film/game but times have changed. There is a new bond. They dont keep changing james bonds character in the film because its cool, they change it because his character changes with the time. So to me, its no big deal its not brosnan, its still james bond! its not about brosnan, its about bond!
I think the game looks great. It would have been perfect if retro studios (metroid prime creators) had the license... i would have absolutely no worries. I think activision know the importance of this game.
