GGTL@E3 - "That's when I really got excited. This was the start of Microsoft's press conference, with Black Ops and Gears Of War 3 shown. Both awesome, but as soon as I saw that mix of swords and sandals, I thought BAM! - Stronghold 3.
I was wrong."
MovieStinger: "Microsoft started their media briefing off strong today showcasing titles like Modern Warfare 3 and Gears of War 3, there was even a new look at last year’s Codename: Kingdoms, now renamed Ryse, which will run on the powerful Crytek engine (Crysis) and use Kinect’s motion technology. Unfortunately, like the Miami Heat in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, Microsoft’s briefing quickly started to fall apart towards the end. That is, until they debuted Halo 4..."
TechNoid writes: "Microsoft accidentally leaked their E3 line-up, which features the mysterious Ryse. But wait, wasn't Ryse registered by Crytek?"
I think it's already over stayed it's welcome. It can disappear again and never surface again for all I care.
It looked good, but it was too short, and didn't it look like another rail game? I was hoping that it would use kinect to a minimum.
Waste of an 'excusivity contract' with a big name dev if you ask me. Expected so much more from this.
GameDynamo - "The Electronic Entertainment Expo is a show on par with some of the most sought after trade shows in America, showing us all how far video games have come in the last decade. One of the heavy hitters in the show is, of course, Microsoft. It might seem as if there isn't a whole lot in store from the software giant other than Kinect games, but we've been surprised before, so we might be surprised again. So far, there are a few confirmed and rumored titles we've gathered from various sources that Microsoft followers should keep on the radar."
I'm hoping for new exclusives and IPs, but I fear most of their offerings will be Kinect shovelware. ¬_¬
Nice article
holy hyperbole batman.
i'm pretty sure that a R* exclusive is a much bigger coup than a crytek one.
Why do I get the feeling that this game will be compared to God of War 3?
Holy Balls. Are you kidding? Rockstar. Think about that name. Rockstar, that one company that gave us the most revolutionary game ever, and has (once again) cemented its position as one, if not the, best developers of our age with the release of Red Dead Redemption. Rockstar NORTH, nonetheless, is being compared to Crytek? just lol
I take this as a surprise from MS in their conference.
Crytek making an Exclusive for Xbox 360 and not for PC.
