Motion controls have a lot more potential on the PS3 then it did on the Wii. It can take advantage of all the shooters and other games (like LBP2) that the Wii wouldn't be able to do. I'm looking forward to playing MW2 and Socom 4 with the move. However, there isn't much games I'd want to use the Wiimote on the Wii. Not to mention that Sony has done a great jobs proving how accurate it is.

Move showed us (and Guerilla) Socom4. Move showed us Move Party (Archery, Table Tennis, and a couple of other games). Move showed us boxing, Lights Out. Move showed us to play with a pet, EyePet. Move showed some tech demos (that "Minority Report" video).

We will see, what that means, literally, at E3. ...

These types of webcam games have been around for a decade, and they're amusing for all of 30 seconds. Who on earth is going to buy this? If they want their kids active in front of the screen, get a Wii. It's cheaper and it has Mario. As for the rest of the gaming world, the average gamer age is well into his 30's. You really think 20 to 30 something gamers are suddenly going to start shelling out to bounce around their living rooms, waving at their tv screen.

If they want their kids active they won't buy them video games to provide the activity. Motion control gaming is a way for non-gamers to get into games. It doesn't get you into shape. It doesn't increase your cardiovascular capacity. You'd have more success playing "Duck, Duck, Goose."

Analysts have been saying that Natal would add 1 billion to Microsoft's revenue. One billion! That means they're expecting 7 million of these things to just fly off the shelf.

I have no doubt that some people who like party games will pick this up, and some people who realize it's value compared to buying a Wii with multiple controllers, but I just don't see this happening.

Not to knock Natal. It's not a bad idea, but it's not being released in a vacuum. It still has the Wii to go up against and it still has Move to go up against.

The 360's a console for hardcore gamers who primarily buy it for shooters. For Natal to be successful they'll have to rope in the casuals, which means they'll have to lure them away from the Wii. When Microsoft dropped the price of the 360 below that of the Wii it caused a brief surge in sales for the 360 but didn't make a dent in Wii sales. I think the 360 is 10 times the gaming console that the Wii is, so doesn't it say something when it can't even compete head 2 head with the Wii when it's cheaper? Is slapping a camera on it for another $150 really going to be the game changer?

I think the problem was quite evident in the video. Here you have THE MS demonstrator, and she is having a hard time coordinating herself to play the only game they've shown. They had about a 70% miss rate on this "pick up and just play" game. I think I'd be done with that game in about 3 minutes. Compare that to the Sony Move pingpong game they just threw together where people were hitting this small ball with spin and finesse, and actually keeping the ball in play. It's night and day right now in terms of accuracy and responsiveness.

The Move is not quite a rip off. It's an advancement of a concept. Stick with me. Nintendo always comes out with the new, innovative tech (rumble, analog, motion control, purple luchbox, etc..) and others, particularly Sony, follow them and attempt to perfect that tech. The N64 had a rumble pack and a joystiq, but the PS1 had the Dualshock. This is an extension of that. Ninty did their motion control thing and Sony said "we can do it better".

The Nintendo 64 was released in June 23, 1996.

Sony released the "Dual Analog Controller" in April 25, 1997 which was similar to the Dualshock, but didn't have vibration.

theres not long left for natal and they didnt show a demo of when the kid scans his skate board and didnt do many demos of voice recognishion, she told the guy to stand out of the area and they never showen a demo of it working in the dark they always do it in a wide open area and they didnt say how far back you have to be, im sorry but there is a lot more room for concern, personaly with these issues and the E3 nearing i think they are gonna fail

Because it's not. I agree with you. Sony is doing nothing new with Move. It is, as you implied, the PSWii. So why isn't MS getting the same flak. It is the NatalToy afterall.

With that said, who's to say both can't pull off something spectacular with their motion control devices. As everyone has said, I'm sure neither Sony, nor MS, have thrown all their cards on the table just yet. The best thing is to wait and see. E3's almost here.

I mean think about it, all fanboyism aside... yay or nay N4G ppl: have you been satisfied with what you've seen from any Natal footage that's out there, to make you want to spend any money on it? At least Sony has shown complete confidence in their new product that they've been showing every damn where. They've only stopped short at mainstream commercials with promotions of their latest creation. I believe Sony had the right idea from the start with the eye toy but it hadn't proved to be something folks was ready for yet. Had they refined the product a little more and just stuck with it... it may have caught on... but Nintendo took over that idea and created a family oriented peripheral that's just printing money for them now. Sony was probably kicking themselves when they saw how Nintendo trumped them with the Wii(probably still are lol). Hence the Move. I think they're really motivated and so excited about it now that they dropped new games like LBP2 and KZ3 almost a month before e3 in preparation for the Move. I'm quite sure they've got some real surprises for that azz but they're gonna spend some quality time with our buttholes trying to ram it and jam it home.... that the Move is the big deal! Frankly, M$ will have to have some big guns now because it seems like (SEEMS LIKE)they are really uncertain of Natal... but M$ is pretty good with surprises so we'll see....

Could careless for both Natal and Wii HD both are another fad that will be dust collectors a year from release, just like most peoples Wii.

I own all three consoles this gen and will not be supporting either natal or Move. If I want to play fun kiddy games I will use my Wii, less lag than either Natal or Move.

Sorry the playing K3 or RE5 with move is unappealing for me. you'll lose all the time to a guy with controller. Players competitive spirit will get the better of them and Move will be relegated to the shelf for the controller.

It's still twitchy and laggy. Especially when she's going very slowly, you can see the avatar twitch a little in the leg and in the head. And when she was waving her arms very slowly, you can see the avatar's arms are moving like half a second slower than she is. Also, the game twitched quite a lot when someone else walked into its view. I can't imagine that's good if you have a big dog.

There is a huge amount of lag in the Ricochet game. Her body is hunched over and moving a lot, but the avatar is barely moving and moving much slower than she is. When the boy and the lady did it, you can see how imprecise it is. They had a hard time even hitting the stationary ball in the very beginning.

This is a new footage, showing the same problems as in the old Natal tech demos.

Just a week and a half left till E3, hopefully they'll show us what Natal can do for real. I think E3 will make or break Natal. But the way people are saying Microsoft is pushing Natal, who knows. Most of the games will be casual, for sure, but I do believe they will at least try to cater to the gamers. It doesn't have to be no controllers for us as well, I could use it along with the controller.

I try not to read the comments most of the time for this particular reason. I only have an Xbox360, which is why I stick to the 360 side of the site for comments. I would appreciate if everyone else would do that as well unless they actually have something constructive to say. Some of you are which is great, I know a lot of people are skeptical, but that doesn't mean you come in here and start praising Playstation Move (which looks really good as well). Good gaming.
