PS3 gets MUBI film service

Sony's announced a deal to bring the MUBI film service to PS3.

Announced at the Cannes Film Festival, the new MUBI PS3 application will allow you to stream "the best of international cinema" onto your telly. But not just Iron Man and Big Momma's House; MUBI emphasizes "quality over quantity," apparently.

The PS3 MUBI service will house "undistributed festival gems," art-house films and independent releases, including names like the Coen brothers, Godard, Kitano, Almodóvar, Tarantino, and Van Sant, according to the PlayStation Blog.

We're still waiting on Play TV .When will it come out for the USA

claney5122d ago

when you get a unified tv system?

Dark_king5122d ago

We will never get play tv in the states but thats okay we will end up with something else along the line of internet cable down the road.I would expect Sony knows that they could bring in some good money with it.Hell they could easily under price my cable company and still have a large profit margin.20$ to 30$ bucks a month would be cheap compared to the 120$ I pay a month. While using the ads to fully pay to provide the service.

Excellent news! This is the type of video service I'd actually use.

Thought I was the only one who remembered Trinity lol very underrated

WET and Quantum Theory were both phenomenal

I remember Stranglehold! One of the first DLC packs of its time. A bit expensive, but cheap by today’s standards.

Another PS3 hidden gems list, and yet again Time Crisis 4 and Time Crisis Razin' Storm get snubbed. Such fun games, that shouldn't be forgotten. If only we got a home port of Time Crisis 5: Mastermind Edition.

WET is something I wish they'd remake, they had so many great ideas but not all of them were executed properly

It had a lot of potential

Also Wanted Weapons of Fate is another game that had some new fun gameplay ideas.

It's an outstanding game and so was The Old Blood. Also a lost era of gaming. Interesting, I received a physical copy of The Old Blood 9 years ago today from Poland. It was digital only in North America initially upon release so I had to import.
