Bad Company 2 no threat to Modern Warfare online - Infinity Ward

yup...unfortunately hes most likely right, but mostly cause those players arent giving bfbc2 a chance or even a single play through...ive gotten my 2 friends who played it to quit mw2 cause it is much more fun

however, there are also those ppl that will think it sucks cause (they wont admit) its too hard

real life example...my friend hates the game cause its "weird" and cause "the m24 isnt a one shot kill", i told him that gravity alters the bullet and headshot is the only one shot kill (technically point blank shots as well) he replied with "WHAT!?!? thats stupid, why would they do that"

I haven't touched MW2 in a while. I loved the single player, played some of the multiplayer and then moved on to better games. BF:BC2 is really got me hooked though. Will prob keep coming back to that one for a while.

There were more people playing Call of Duty World at War than were playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 on XBox Live. Battlefield Bad Company 2 isn't a better game than Modern Warfare 2 or a better experience. For all it's faults, Modern Warfare 2 is still the more polished and better balanced of the two games. I always talk about the internet majority; you guys are the minority. The greater part of the gaming community still play and enjoy Modern Warfare 2.

BFBC2 is not hard at all. Kills are super easy to get in both games. It may be a little more difficult than MW2, but not by much. Casual gamers can still enjoy BFBC2.

You're seriously saying that MW2 is a more balanced game than BC2??????? Seriously??? When you're running around like a rat in a maze getting blowed-up by an AC130 every time you spawn, I'd say there's some freaking balancing issues... not to mention they let the glitchfest go on way to long making this a regular event, and moving many gamers over to BC2 and MAG... If you still enjoy MW2's multiplayer, then more power to you, but don't try to tell me it's more balanced than BC2, because that's just pure BS.

EDIT: The perks, kill streaks, weapons upgrades and reward system in MW2 make the game as unbalanced as it could be... A higher ranking player not only has the advantage of skill acquired over time, but an unrealistic advantage of above mentioned rewards. With BC2 and MAG even a new player can come in and stand a fighting chance after a few rounds, because the games are balanced better, and people tend to play with a squad mentality.

The thing is damn near unplayable on PC because of all the glitch abuse. Hell even the stimulus pack is broken. It was just released. There is no way someone can objectively say MW2 is more polished than BC2.

Look, MW2 is not as good as BFBC2. It's not as good as COD4. However, there was such a hype train on the thing that everyone and his brother (mine included) picked the damn thing up and are playing it online.

I enjoy both games and the multiplayer online, but I agree with the topic, BC2 is no threat to MW2. I always see myself playing MW2 a tad more than BC2. And about the map packs, I won't be paying 1200mp for this. I will buy them when they hit 800mp or lower.

I played a few times this week, I haven't played Modern Warfare 2 in a while but seriously as much as I loved the 1st modern warfare Battlefield Bad Company 2 is in another league altogether, seriously what does any Call of Duty game have over Bad Company 2? they say it is not a threat but I totally disagree, I only rented Bad Company 2 but I must have put in a good 40 hrs online play, it's the most addictive online game I have played in a long time, it's also funny, how cool is it when a camper is hiding inside a house hidden in a corner and you just blow out the side of the building FANTASTIC!!!. Silly me whilst playing Modern Warfare 1 and trying to escape an enemy I tried to knife a fence to break through it to no avail. Give credit where credit is due Bad Company 2 is the best online shooter bar none.

As a mw2 ps3 player, all my friends still play mw2, and its always about 300k to 500k strong, its popular, and fun, I play mw2 everyday, I don't see a lot of glitchers, hardly see any glitchers, bad co.2, more tatical, but not enough to convince 10 friends to trade in mw2, we are waiting for a James bond next gen 1st\3rd shooter, that's not based on a movie, but based on all bond movies, that will be sweet, and will take mw2, kz2, halo, and GEow off the top!

Bbc2 is Wayy better then gay of duty period. Bbc2 surpassed mw2 when it comes to online experience.
Mw2 is a arcade shooter game and bbc2 is the real deal. Mw2 has Way too many noobs campers noobtuber hackers and Many more wrong things. the guy maybe right. but as it stands now bfbc2 is the most enjoyable fps game i have played in a very long time.( i think resistance 1 i enjoyed a lot at the time. ) mw2 is good but i think dice has got something here and can further improve in later games. i hated part 1. but love part2. that tells you the developers worked hard on this game and it sure shows. thats what i like.

I loved MW2 untill about the time the javelin glitch appeared. After that it was all down hill. That was exploited till nearly every match I played had no less than 6 people doing it. After IW patched it, it was nearly 9 out of 10 games being filled with unlimited, fully automatic grenade launchers. Then I stopped playing for about a month in hopes it would get better. What do I find when I start playing again? People jumping 400ft in the air, invincible, xp loss when enemy killed, leader boards completely trashed, full auto rocket launchers and more horrors. After another month of that, IW anounces map packs for a fee? Are you joking? I havent been this angry since Codemasters released Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.

lots of assumptions and half baked facts haha. I rather play MAG than BFBC. MW2 is better IMO than MAG. But I like to see how all you guys that said that BFBC was the end all be all of FPS gaming and MW2 was going to die are now trying real hard to keep throwing jabs at MW2 when in the end your justifications are exaggerated and non factual.

Every game has it's glitches and balance issues and BFBC is not one to escape this. Especially with the knife destroying building glitch.

I'm not saying MW2 is perfect but at least millions of people enjoy it. And this site is full of haters, thinking that it elevates their status somehow.
