captain-obvious5186d ago

i want this game to be ROCK SOLID
DO YOU HEAR ME ???
ROCK SOLID !!!!!!

execution175186d ago

exactly don't want all that framerate drops, the freezing the weird glitches

FanboysWillHateMe5186d ago (Edited 5186d ago )

They think they're too high and almighty for multiplatform titles.

Anyways, I hope the team making this game played Fallout 3 to death and know what made that game so great. When they asked the Fallout 3 director what he learned about making the game, he said to never have level caps and never let the game end. I hope New Vegas acknowledges that do a degree.

captain-obvious5186d ago

@ above
do you need to turn this in to a flame war ??
reported + GTFO

PirateThom5186d ago

The team making this are members of the team who made Fallout and Fallout 2.

FanboysWillHateMe5186d ago

They do it all the time, go to any article featuring Alan Wake, Natal, or Splinter Cell Conviction. You'll find a fanboy in there that starts babbling about the greatness of the PS3. Guaranteed.

PaLaK-5186d ago

Im yet to play fallout 3 - Im planning on picking up the GOTY edition pretty soon for my ps3, however, I hear it has all these glitches/bugs which can ruin your game and save file etc? Is this true? Can anybody here tell me the different between the original and the GOTY? I know the goty has the dlc etc obviously, but which version runs smoother? I can always buy the dlc separately I just want a good gaming experience.

gaffyh5185d ago

@1.3/7 - You must hate yourself judging by your name.

FragGen5184d ago

@1.8: I have F3 on my 360 and I was actually considering getting GOTY for the PS3 for all the DLC, etc, but I heard the same thing you did w.r.t. glitches and bugs in the PS3 version.

It scared me off... it sounds like Betheseda has been completely irresponsible in their support of the PS3 to the point where they've released an unusable product and then refused to support it. Makes me want to boycott everything from them now.

"Sawyer credits mods with inspiring the weapon modification system, which allows you to strap on DIY additions to your guns to increase damage, ammo capacity, accuracy, rate of fire and more."

Thank you for listening. Bethesda, take note.

Looked pretty interesting and if Obsidian is doing this one I think it will be something to play this year. Although it feels like just yesterday when Fallout 3 came out.

movements5186d ago

and Obsidian knows what they're doing...

They now have my attention.

SDF Repellent5186d ago

I expect them to do a great job with the new Fallout. Add another game to my 2010 shopping list. I think it is over 20 now.

El_Colombiano5186d ago

WTF? GTFO KOTOR on 360? Yeah OK.

SDF Repellent5186d ago

But I can play it on X360 so it is also on X360. Thank god there is something like BC.

Vinyl_Vixen5186d ago

Seriously, just when I thought I was done with Fallout, another expansion comes out! Can't wait for it :) Mothership Zeta was still my fav though.

Michael Scott5186d ago (Edited 5186d ago )

But Fallout: New Vegas is not an expansion to Fallout 3; it's an entirely new game.

makingdamage5186d ago

Yeah but one can easily mistake it for being an expansion, I mean, I like Fallout 3 and all but this game looks almost exactly like fallout 3. But as long as it feels different I´m fine with it, the story and dialog in Fallout 3 wasn´t that great but the exploring part of the game was awesome!

palaeomerus5185d ago

It uses Gamebryo (like Morrowind, Last Age of Camelot, Oblivion and FAllout 3) and it uses Bethesda's G.E.C.K. editor but it is a whole new game with some new rules (like melee enhanced in V.A.T.S. and a 'Hardcore' mode) and has some different ways of doing things.

It uses the same general technology base (and possibly some assets) as Fallout 3 but it's the same size as Fallout 3 and may well have its own set of DLC add ons eventually.

Think of it as being sort of like GTA III:Vice City following GTA III.

Games That Were Bad on Release, But Are Now Great

BLG writes, "Some of the most popular games have had a rough start, with some of them being downright unplayable.

Despite that, developers have managed to turn it around for them and make their game worth playing. Here are some games that had a rough start but were pretty great."

Good list..hoped to see Street Fighter 5 there..and it is.

Vits14d ago (Edited 14d ago )

Sea of Thieves... I'm not disagreeing that the game has improved in terms of content. But I feel that the most significant change between now and its release is actually the public perception. Nowadays, most people are aware that the game is a multiplayer PvP-focused experience first and foremost, and not "Black Flag made by Rare". Consequently, people dismissing the whole experience because the single-player aspect is lacking or the story is plain are much less common.

darthv7214d ago

Several years ago, i submitted an idea to Rare that would change up the mechanics of battling opponents in the game. whereby if you died in battle, you turned into a skeleton warrior and had to fight your way back to the land of the living. It was an interesting twist on respawning and would allow the player to experience both sides of a battle.

I keep hoping to see something like that get added to the game.

Kaii14d ago

They consider FO 76 & ME Andromeda to be great now 🤭

anast14d ago

Every game in the last 2 decades...

INMATEofARKHAM14d ago

It's sad that this quick retort is more often than not true... The industry's acceptance of release and patch has gone too far.

gunnerforlife13d ago

Days gone! By the end of the game I couldn't drop it down! I went around so many hours killing zombies! It was addictive by the end.

S2Killinit13d ago

That game was just plain good game. It didnt improve, it was just good.

gunnerforlife13d ago

I don't know, I got it abit late, and struggled for a few days, and then all of a sudden it just got good!!

Fallout Anthology Edition Looks Pretty S.P.E.C.I.A.L.

The Fallout Anthology Edition is coming to PC very soon, and is packaged with some very S.P.E.C.I.A.L. bonuses.

It’s an awful downgrade to the last one they did

They included physical disc back then
