another former G@ystation (not that there is anything wrong with being gay) exclusive is coming to the sexbox and what a game it is. This is the most realistic of the big four 3rd-person-view fighters, you wont see any half-man-half-leopard characters here only humans and it also has deepest combat engine and the coolest martial arts moves and now better graphics, yes on the 360 sorry had to rub that in.

All 360 owners that like fighting games should show their appreciation to sega buy purchasing this game so that sega will feel encouraged to bring more of their great stuff to the 360.

I must say the charectors look stellar for a VF game.

Seems like alot of textures and more advanced lighting effects are present now.

The PS3 pictures you have are just plain horrible quality pictures. I have the game and you're not even trying to represent it accurately. Not that I would expect you to, but for others looking at your "comparison" they might as well know you're just picking lousy ps3 picks to go against the 360 ones.

Lol what bull$h1t. It says that its prettier than the ps3 version? Well I have the Ps3 version and those screen shots just don't look as good period.
And yes I know its not finished yet and could end up being better, but as of now, that is simply not true. The character textures and the lighting is just better on the ps3 version.

It does have nice anti aliasing I'll give it that. ATI always does.
But colours and clothing textures and such are not as 'crisp'.

why is it so blurry, i mean i have the p3 version and that thing is crips.. this version seams blurry, the same goes for vitua Tenis 3, i saw it at my father in law (xbox360 version) and that seamed blurry to, while on my ps3 it seams alot more sharpe in details.. anyone know why that is...?

Well 360 has powerfull anti aliasing built in. Kind of how the dreamcast used to look. This gets rid of most jagged edges but the down side sometimes is the game does not look as 'crisp' on the screen. It can almost look a little out of focus.
Depends on the game.
Like if you check out Ps3 stills, they can look a little jaggy. But get home and play the game, it looks fine and really sharp.
Aliased graphics look better versus un-aliased graphics in a screen shot.
But in a running game sometimes no AA makes for a sharper image.

Those are just bad pics Jvillan. Pick it up or go to a friends house because it's arguably on of the best graphical games on the PS3.

here's a better comparison...the 360 version looks more smooth but you guys are blowing it way out of proportion by saying it looks "waaay" better. it looks better, but not enough to kick dirt in PS3's face

"The aliasing issues, which were quite noticeable in the PS3 version, are gone from the 360 build. There's no shimmer, no ugly jagged lines -- Virtua Fighter 5 on 360 is beautiful. There are a lot of nice, subtle effects that add a nice touch to the environments, such as early-morning fog rolling across the arena. The backdrops are clean and colorful and the game runs smooth as a thoroughbred."

It's interesting that Gamespot said the same thing about Sega Rally:

"While both versions were polished and highly playable, the Xbox 360 demo looked slightly more advanced, with a smoother overall frame rate and easier controls thanks to the standard joypad. The final game promises to run at 30 frames per second on both consoles (although the physics are modelled at 60fps), but this is yet to be optimised on either the PS3 or Xbox 360. The result is that the game never slowed down to a sluggish pace, but it did seem to be smoother on Microsoft's console overall."

People say FN:R3 Look better on PS3 only because it came out a year later? No that VF5 is Look more Crisp than the PS3 version ya'll don't wanna hear it. Oh well the Xbox version looks better plain and simple.

maybe the 360 version will look better due to AM2 having more time to polish the game. However, the scans you guys are posting of the ps3 version plain suck. It looks 100X better than those scans show.
I will rent it for 360 when it comes out and i'll submit a non biased graphics comparison of both versions.

In the ps3 version, the characters look shiny, as if they were sweating, i hope they have fixed this for the 360 version.

The Character models still need a little work, like the second pic attached, they look a little plastic, im sure people who will actually see the truth in this pic will agree, and the ones that dont want to will disagree, but like I said the game still has more months of development to go hopefully they fix some of these guys.

Garnet from the 1UP network recently commented on the 360 version and said that the graphics are better - but only slightly.

According to him, the characters look just about the same, but you can see a slight difference in the expansive, wide open backgrounds in some of the levels.

So all in all they are almost identical graphically wise, but saying that, they have had more time to work on the 360 version - the same can be said for the PS3 version of oblivion - it looked better (slightly) because they had more time to work on it.

The comments that interested me however, were the fact that some of the Ai was improved for the 360 version.

a port for a ps3 and a port for a 360 doesnt matter since it came from the arcade, having more time to make vf5 on the 360 to make it a hint better looking, whoopy, like i care as long as it looks pretty much identical ( which it does) same with oblivion they had more time to make a better port, so people who are getting upset that the 360's one looks better, dont worry this port just looks better with more time, and probably an easier way of using the technology to make it look better, compared to the ps3

It isn't like it is not common knowledge that the 360 gets the better version of games, being strictly a "games" console.

PS3 fans just need to face reality. The 360 is a developer friendly games machine. PS3 is not. Not to mention that the 360's GPU is far more advanced than the one in the PS3.

Developers can get far more out of the 360 in a fraction of the time it would take for them to get the same results on PS3. Which means that games development is quick and easy for 360 which developers like. Unlike the nightmare that is PS3.

Bottom line is that less development time means more profit for publishers. Gaming is an industry despite what fanboys would like to make it out to be.
