IGN: DSiWare Reviews: Week of Feb 1, 2010

The Nintendo DSi is quickly becoming a platform of its own. The system, released in April 2009, isn't much more than upgraded Nintendo DS technology, but its built-in cameras and its incorporated data storage give developers more to work with. And the DSi Shop can be a virtual sandbox for game creators to incorporate the DSi capabilities into downloadable titles. Or it's just an easy way to get simple DS ideas into gamers' hands without going the much more expensive retail route.

Meh I wish they gave better stuff when it came to 3DS. In just two months I saw the Wii get SSB for N64, and Super Punch Out.

How about a good 3D classic game for 3DS? I've only seen Urban Champion 3D so far.

Gamers will easily see Trajectile‘s influences from classics like Breakout, Missile Command and maybe even a little bit of Pong. And while those influences are quickly recognizable, there is still a nice twist to the gameplay that leaves this DSiWare title with its own identity."

Sophist Radio Episode 43: Shebadow

Harold Burnett writes: In this episode Harold, James, and Aaron spend a good bit of the show struggling to talk about video games. If you came here looking for a new catch phrase to impress all your friends, we have it. If you wanted to hear another rant about the layout of Nintendo's download store, you are again in the right place. Finally, though, the guys do settle down into some tried and true game discussion. The 3rd Birthday, Okamiden, and Trajectile share some time in the spotlight. Then things move into a pretty lengthy chat about the recent issues concerning hacker Geohot and system jailbreaking.
